I'm so glad these are coming back. I have all of them, and am glad others can have a chance to grind out the weapons, minions, and mounts too! Plus I'm gonna enjoy piggybacking off all the farms to get some relics done! I also love all of your different glams, they're all so cool and aesthetically fitting in their own ways.

what amount of grind are we talking about for everything what am i to espect doing fates, like atma grind for arr relics?

@@o.s.95 You will need to do 3 FATES per minion after your first one, and if you're the luckiest person in the world, 10 FATES for every weapon after your first, though the drop rate for weapon tokens is only about 30%, so you could have to do a lot more than that. So... In all... 51 FATES for the minions, and at 50% at least 340 FATEs for the weapons. You earn the mounts as you collect weapons/minions. I hope that helps put it into perspective!

You can do it! 💜The good news is they are very easy to get, the downside is it just takes quite a bit of time. But we have until DT releases, so there's no reason not to go at a reasonable pace and get it all done! Good luck to you!

I did the event partway during it's first iteration back in Heavensward, but wasn't able to finish it at the time. There’s no sage or reaper weapon. Square was lazy or dumb and aren’t adding it. So the event is pointless for the majority of players who completed it already

As someone who plays on PC, Console, and Portable, you have my condolences. 💜 Character HUD management takes up a much bigger portion of my time than I'd like, and it's not fun.

It’s much easier now than before to save your client-side settings with the cloud backup. It’s a gear on the character selection page. Friend just transferred to a PS5 and it was very seamless. As a PC player, I use the backup file to local HDD and the cloud save. The only thing that doesn’t transfer easily is macros UNLESS they are on the Shared Macros tab. Hope that helps and yes come back!

You're very welcome!💜 It's not hard at all, it just takes some time. For the minions the tokens needed are guaranteed drops so it's just a matter of doing enough FATES to get as many as you want. The weapons are not a guaranteed drop and will take some time to farm. But with everyone doing it, it goes pretty fast.

New to the game with the Xbox launch so finding videos like this are so nice! You mention it was a grind for these, how many hours we looking at normally for one job? I've only done the little ladies and XVI events, both were short.

These minions/weapons are earned with medals dropped from FATES. The first minion is 1 medal and all the rest are 3 and you get 1 per FATE guaranteed. The weapons are 5 for the first and 10 each for the rest and they are not guaranteed drops (maybe 30% chance). If you're in a party and grinding FATES, you can get quite a few done in a relatively short time. But FATES take time to spawn too... I'd say there's a reason why we are given until DT launches to get it done! Try to take it a bit at a time to avoid burning yourself out before launch! And good luck! 💜

If it's the same as last time, you get a guaranteed 1 coin per FATE for the minions. The first minion is 1 coin, and the rest are 3 coins each. I hope this helps!

The weapons aren't really my aesthetic, but I will probably go for the NIN ones since I have friends that will want to grind them out and just having something fun to chill and vibe to while we chat will be nice.

It's always best when playing with friends, whatever the task. But if you aren't keen on these weapons, you can take the opportunity to look into the ARR relic weapons instead. A big portion of those weapons is FATE grinding in the same zones, and then you'll be working towards something that might work better for you!

The event originally ran in 2016, then was repeated in 2017 and then again in 2020. The 2024 event is the 4th time the event has been run.

The only problem with these weapons is they don’t glow.

There' s a little bit of a glow effect on some of them! You have to look rather closely though, because only parts of them have it, and it's subtle (unlike a relic). But yeah - would be awesome if they were even more flashy!

The mounts are achievements, so you'll have to go into your achievement menu to claim it. Character - Achievements. If you don't find it in your last 5, it will be under "Quests" "Seasonal Events". I hope this helps! 💜

Hrmm... Which is more important in your opinion: a fancy blade which you see during combat/gpose, or a fancy sheath which you can always have showing on your character? Just genuinely curious! With MCH's hip box and RDMs floating doohicky it's easy to see what to cut time on, but with SAM it's a hard question.

Relatively a new player here. How grindy is this event? I heard it's pretty tedious?

I just did the math for someone else so I know the answer - if you're incredibly lucky RNG-wise, you need to do at least 400 FATES to get everything. Most people (me) had to do more than that. I hope that puts it into perspective! 💜

Shame that this event is pointless for the large majority of the player base. I’m getting sick and tired of them doing rerun events with nothing new for players that did it last time. Either no more reruns, or add new things to reruns.

I understand how you're feeling. It's good that there is a way to combat FOMO for people who see items that are no longer available and really want to have a chance at them. But you're right - it would be nice for players who have already done it to have something to get excited about too.
