I commented on another video from Taya, but I want to speak here as well. This video speaks a lot of truth. I have been involved with the Ukraine/Russia/International Date scam for many years now. First, I would caution any man from thinking that 'love is just a click away'. I have reviewed profiles not just of the 'women' but of the 'men' as well. Let's face it, almost every woman on a dating site could be a cover-girl model. Yes, some of these are 'studio pictures' and use just the right clothes, make-up, settings, to put the best image of a woman on view. And when you see some of the 'selfies' attached to their letters, you realize that sometimes, they are more like 'the girl next door', and you're okay with that. Because she still looks very pretty, and someone that you could easily see yourself with in a relationship. Maybe you see these women, and immediately say, 'Wow, she is way out of my league', but over time, you see more and more women who 'love you' or seem to be attracted. You begin to think that maybe they just need a good man, money or looks don't matter. Do you really think a 'super-model' who is 25 will be happy to be with a 60 year old man, who is scruffy, and lives in a trailer? But she will say, "It doesn't matter what you look like or where you live, I don't care if you are rich". People are people, no one is different. I have seen young men from the Middle east, they look 'sharp and well-dressed' perhaps they have a lot of money and feel that this makes them more attractive to a lonely poor Ukraine woman. All this does it send a signal that this man has a lot of money or part with. He will get a lot of attention, not from his looks or his personality, it is because he is telling the world that he is 'horny and ready to pay'. But this makes him to be the target of a scammer. And just like that man from America, Australia, UK, or anywhere else, that is 'old' perhaps 'retired' or just 'looking for his better-half', these men too, become targets. They appear to be 'lonely' and willing to part with their money, on the chance to meet that 'someone special'. Trust me, I never put my photo on a dating site, but so many women compliment me on my looks. I put horrible things in my profile, like I am an 'axe murderer - looking for my next victim', or that I sometimes 'beat women if I get angry', I put all kinds of things in the profile just to test them... Yet, all I get are, "I read your profile, you seem like such a wonderful person". I agree with Taya, don't expect her to 'come to you'. Not unless you are willing to pay for everything up front... and that's usually the first sign that you are being scammed. Go to her, meet her first, but be prepared to connect with someone you trust first. There are special scams for men that 'come to visit'. I have heard horror stories. Plan your own hotel, your 'restaurant', or other dating events. Know the exchange rates, and learn enough of the language to speak to a stranger on the street. Don't assume that your girl will do all of the talking, or plans. I'll end here, but guys, don't be so gullible. I have seen many men lose thousands, even a million dollars, because they got hooked into a dating or romance scam.

Travel information for Americans: Hello Taya, I am an American man 76 years old. I am not looking for a Ukrainian woman for a relationship because I'm too old imo. ))) I have traveled to Ukraine the last two summers for 90 days(visa limit) to visit a Ukrainian family in Kremenchuk. I will be going back for a third 90 trip in July 2024. This post will be information for men traveling to Ukraine from America. This is how I made the trip the last two years. This year I will do essentially the same thing with one exception. I live near Orlando Florida. So the best flight itinerary I have found is flying from Orlando to Atlanta Georgia. Then fly to Amsterdam Netherlands. Then fly from Amsterdam to Krakow Poland. I the spend the night at a reasonably priced(~$50/night) hotel close to the Krakow airport. The next morning I catch a bus from the airport(or from main bus depot in Krakow) directly to Lviv Ukraine. The trip lasts about 8 hours--longer depending on how long the border crossing takes. I spend 1-3 nights in Lviv sightseeing, staying at a hotel that is walking distance from the Lviv bus/station/train depot. Then get a train to Kyiv or Kremenchuk depending on where I agree to meet friends. we both like spendind a few days in Kyiv...which I can reommend. Kyiv is a great city to visit. The return itinerary is just the opposite Kremenchuk--> Lviv--Krakow--Amsterdam--->Atlanta--> Orlando. The round trip cost of airfare for me has varied from $1500 in 2022 to about $1800 for this year 2024. I fly delta "comfort" because I am 6'4" and coach seats are too cramped for me. Fares vary widely so shop around. Buying tickets EARLY saves a LOT of money. I bought my tickets at least 6 months in advance. Bus tickets can be purchased well in advance as well(flix). Krakow to Lviv is about $50 one way. Train tickets in Ukraine are VERY reasonable by US standards. You can get train tickets up to 21 days in advance. DO BUY 2nd class tickets and try to get an ODD numbered seat which is a BOTTOM "bunk" unless you don't mind an upper bunk. Same price for either. I like riding both the train and the bus. the flix buses in Europe are very nice and comfortable. Do buy a reserved seat(window or aisle) for a couple bucks more. Bus travel is a nice way to see the countryside. Store you bus and train ticket on your phone, even if you have it printed. Have your passport available when boarding....and at the border crossing. I hope this information helps. I found traveling a fun adventure. And thanks to Taya for her channel! ))) Pete I love my friends channel family lapkin life on KZbin PS: I would strongly advise leaving at least 2 hours between flights in case of delays like weather, long lines at customs/immigration or if you have checked baggage. Also get a TSA precheck number. I packed enough in my carry-on backpack plus "personal bag" for 90 days. It CAN be done :)

Best advice I can give you other than “Don’t play the ponies” is “Stay away from Russian & Ukrainian women! Lived in Ukraine, dated many Russian & Ukrainian women even foolish enough to actually marry one. If you are thinking about it forget and just keep going your life will be much better off. But if you must go ahead stay away from any marriage agency or their trips, never did it but spoken to many that did. Go there and meet people there in person. I think that for a man who is in a situation of being asked to send money is a red flag. Things such as flight tickets, and official paperwork can now days be billed directly to you in an instant, and a genuine woman will appreciate that act, rather than her saying ‘not sending the money shows you don’t trust me’, which I’m sure does happen.
