Syd didn’t have the best pass of his time but he was outstanding at sniping around the fringes. When our forwards were not providing go forward ball (no they weren’t always the dominant pack) Syd was my go to man. I really hope that one day, Samoa and Tonga are introduced into Super Rugby as their own respective teams. As much as I love Moana, I just feel that the pacific nations would benefit a lot if their inclusion was of a seperate force. Just look at the wonders it's doing for Fiji. As a Samoan, I absolutely LOVE watching our Fijian brothers make a fortress of their home. Could you imagine Samoa and Tonga doing the same thing?? Chills. Ah well, maybe someday.

Interesting to see this season that the battle of the bombays only has one fixture (barring finals) and that it is in the final round. Depending on selections by both sides heading into their final round clash, what can we expect in terms of a litmus test of the blue's stoic defence against an enigmatic but potentialy explosive team in the chiefs. We have seen enough from all the NZ derbys to build a picture of things may turn out however this coming fortnight particularly chiefs v canes and chiefs v blues will further complicate things. Full disclosure, my loyalty is to the Chiefs so of course the heart will always back that however in both the Blues - with their proven defensive might and ability to grind out wins - and the Hurricanes - with their intensity and potency - I find it almost impossible to predict who will take the crown.

The Black Ferns are still riding on the coat tails of their RWC win against an England side one person down for the majority of the match and scored at will through the forwards.
