I have childhood PTSD on one side and drug addiction on the other. In my case, correlation of trauma and addiction is undeniable. Thank you for keep making videos! Been watching them for the last 2 years already.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience, and I appreciate your ongoing support over the past two years-it means a lot. What you’ve described, the connection between trauma and addiction, is unfortunately very common. Many people who experience trauma, particularly in childhood, may turn to substances as a way to cope with the overwhelming emotions and memories that can come with it. Addiction can feel like a way to numb that pain, even though it often leads to further struggles. Recognizing the link between trauma and addiction is a huge step in the healing process because it allows us to address both issues together. Trauma can impact all aspects of our lives-our thoughts, emotions, relationships, and even our sense of self-worth. But the fact that you’re aware of this connection gives you a powerful insight into how to approach your healing journey. I encourage you to continue exploring trauma-informed approaches that address both the emotional pain and the addictive behaviors. And please, keep reaching out for support-whether that’s through therapy, groups, or supportive communities. You are not alone, and healing is absolutely possible. Thank you again for your comment, and I’m grateful to have you as part of this community!

Thank you for your comment and for sharing this insight! It’s a big realization when we start connecting behaviors, like a junk food addiction, to unresolved trauma. Many of us turn to food as a way to cope with difficult emotions or past experiences because it can bring temporary comfort or distraction. But, as you’ve discovered, these patterns often stem from deeper emotional wounds. Now that you’ve made this connection, it’s a powerful opportunity to start healing from the root of the issue. By addressing the trauma, you can begin to break the cycle of using food as a coping mechanism and develop healthier ways to nurture yourself, both physically and emotionally. Thank you for being a part of this community and for your openness-awareness is such a crucial first step, and I’m so glad you’re on this journey!
