Here's I'm showing is my aunt's new vacuum at her new house she and my uncle just built. It was installed and up in running almost a year ago but the whole thing started the year before that. This house is about 5,000 square feet. It has a total of 6 electric inlet valves, 3 for upstairs and 3 for downstairs. Plus one valve that's on the unit for garage cleaning. It also has a VacPan inlet as well just like at their old house. The Centec hose was later added to this place cause my aunt likes having a hose on each floor but the attachments from the basement belongs to the hose out in the garage. And also the Rug Rat was later added as well. She didn't realize at first she needed one until later on. I actually just realized in the video that the newer Rug Rats require a screw driver to take a screw out which I think is dumb. But other than that, everything else came with the system. After recommending several brands, they went with the Allegro because of the price and what was included with it off from Amazon. They chose to use it as bagless because it's just like what their Beam Serenity 2100 had from their old house. But unfortunately after almost a year of using this, it's already got a bearing issue. This is one of the good reasons why bagged central vacs are the best way to go. I might get a new motor for this since it's still under warranty. I also might get a new telescoping wand for the Wessel Werk EBK 360 powerhead because when you adjust it, it doesn't like to lock into place. Other than that, everything else has been working great for this place! I'm actually glad they went with the 360 powerhead because this place gets more dirtier than I realize and this is an excellent powerhead to use for deep cleaning and grooming carpets like these. But I do need to take a look at the height adjuster because it's not working right like it's supposed to. I personally am not a fan of the dust mop bare floor tool, it gets dirty alot and it's very hard to clean out. I prefer using a regular bare floor tool to clean the hardwood floors. I also prefer using the Centec hose over the other electric hose because it's longer, it's made here in the US, and it feels more comfortable in my hands. I may possibly get another powerhead for downstairs but I don't know yet. Sometime later when this house gets completely finished (I apologies for the construction noise), we're going to redo the piping by the unit. It's only like this for temporary. And possibly venting the exhaust pipe outdoors of the house, though my uncle doesn't like the idea of chiseling out a hole to the vent the unit outside (even before when the walls were put in). Overall, it's a really good system. I recommend Allegro to anyone that wants a central vacuum but are on a budget. It's well made, they have a good track record, and it's made in Canada. But if you get one, I would strongly encourage you to use disposable bags for them.
Hope you enjoyed!

I love Central Vacuum systems. I have one in my house. My mom tried it out and loved it so we had it installed in my parents house, as well as in my aunt and uncle's home. I highly recommend it, because being a doctor, I want my family and patients to live in a healthy environment.

I agree, I wouldn't ever live in a house without one. In fact, Canada now requires every new home that's get built to put in a central vacuum. Out of curiosity, what kind of system do you have? Also in your parent's and in your aunt's house?

I have a Beam from 2014 when I added on and renovated my home in 2014 which my home is 8000 square feet, exactly to what it is rated at. Later on, my parents had a Vacumaid, which was installed in 2020. About the same time, my aunt and uncle had another Vacumaid installed. My Beam has the Electrolux Carpet Power head, a dusting brush, a crevice tool, a motorized pet tool, and a combination floor tool for bare floors and lower pile area rugs. The Vacumaid that my parents have has the same attachment accept a Sebo power head and a bare floor tool. The one my aunt and uncle has also has the same attachments but instead of the Electrolux or Sebo, theirs has the Wessel Werk power head and a bare floor tool. All three of ours also have sweep inlets. Over all, we are very happy with ours. Mine did have some problems with a valve leaking, but that has been fixed, so I have nothing to worry about.

I guess this is another Canadian maker of central systems. I didn't know how many brands were made in Canada up until a few years ago. Beam is technically owned by Canadians again, Smart, which I wonder if it was spun off of Beam because my unit says Beam Smart on it and it's over 25 years old at this point. The machines look incredibly similar to Beam's units, so I would guess yes. There's of course Canavac, Drainvac...Aqua-Air Wet and Dry was Canadian but is headquartered out of Utah now. I had a feeling that the machine you were demoing was in Canada because of the Hibbert International logo on the EBK360 power head.
@panasonicvac4036
@panasonicvac4036 2 жыл бұрын
This was actually filmed in Utah, the same state where Aqua-Air is manufactured at. You are correct about Smart though, lots of central vac companies would have multiple brands on them which is a good thing. I'm very glad that Nuera Air acquired both Beam and Smart. They're owned by the same company that makes DuoVac which is one of my top 5 most recommend brands to look into.

How strong is the suction on this unit compared to something like a Cyclovac or Nadair 700? I'm looking for a powerful unit since I have deep carpets and I want to use mine to detail my cars too. The stronger the pull, the better.
@panasonicvac4036
@panasonicvac4036 Жыл бұрын
According to the website, this has about 124 inches of cfm and 142 inches of water lift. That's actually pretty good. The Nadair would have about 138 inches of cfm and 138 of water lift as well. But the only thing I don't really care about the Nadair is that it uses a thru-flow motor, the Allegro uses a bypass motor which is more reliable. CycloVac can use either one, I'd prefer a model that uses a bypass motor. The only thing I don't really care about any CycloVac is the price. Overall, you can't go wrong with either one. But my word of caution is to NEVER use either one as bagless. This Allegro just failed after two years because it was being used as bagless. If you use disposable bags, you'll be fine. But if you do get one of these, NEVER use the utility valve for garage cleaning. Install another inlet valve for garage cleaning instead while using it as bagged.
Жыл бұрын
@@panasonicvac4036 Whoa! Thanks for the wealth of insight! :D Just after I left that comment, I found Drainvac/Purvac brand that claims to have the strongest suction you can get. But like Cyclovac, the price is in The Matrix (Fantasyland). I didn't even know about Allegro until I happened across an Allegro starter kit (MU4500 Champion) on Amazon while looking for central vac outlets. For 800 bux, it seemed like a pretty good steal. But, as with most central vac systems that are more recent, it's not easy to find video reviews of these things and I don't like buying big ticket items only to find out it may not suit 'all' of my needs. But I digress, you mentioned bypass valves - is this a safety feature that in the event of a jam, the motor will still be able to breath and not burn itself out? Also, I never liked bagless all that much. I have a Shark Canister (the media blasted 'Vertex' one) that claims it's HEPA sealed and filters the crap out of things. I take their word for it and assume it is but I'm still skeptical and would much prefer a bag (easier to clean up) and for the debris to be located out of the living space (one of the main reasons I started looking for a strong central vac).
Жыл бұрын
@@panasonicvac4036 As far as garage cleaning and car detailing goes - I have a satellite canister for that. That way moisture, wet and other unfavorable debris won't make it to the main vacuum unit.

I have a DrainVac Little Giant. I'll admit, I really do like it. But for the price that they're offering, it's not worth it. I'd take this over it anyday. Overall if you're looking for a budget central vac, I'd definitely recommend this as long as you're using it as bagged. I know this thing would've still been alive today if it wasn't bagless. A thru-flow motor is basically like what your Shark uses. A bypass motor alot of central vacs use has a vent where it wouldn't run nearly as hot because it has a separate fan to allow cool air to pass inside through. You can see the differences on Cana-Vac's website for more information.
