It takes a well-studied player to avoid the over-romanticization of baroque music, especially Bach. Well done! I like the second camera angle as well.

Such an amazing lesson and performance. Playing Bach on guitar is the most beautiful tihing a guitar player can never achieve. I admire yor work as a teacher and player, I wish I could sound like taht some day. Thanks!

I've played this piece for several years and it is deceptively difficult. Very hard to separate the voices properly and bring out the beautiful melodies across many shifts. This is the issue with the Bach lute pieces: they are difficult to start with, and don't lend themselves easily to guitar. But their beauty grab you & won't let go!

Yes, although it's possible to play in terms of just going through it, to connect it all nice and bring out the individual lines is quite difficult!

Ya, I usually like to add more ornaments but this one is just difficult enough to make me limit the amount.

Hey, Mr Bradley, any chance you could cook us up an ornamentation lesson? There is only one ornament that you do that I have no idea how to do, and that is like...the mordent but with the ornamentation being on a different string(that might not be what's going on, its so fast I can't tell). But also I would like more variety! I hope this interests you or your students, I would absolutely love that lesson.

Actually I'm planning a huge ornamentation section with videos covering each ornament along with historical context. Coming soon-ish...

Is this piece harder than Capricho arabe?
@Thisisclassicalguitar Жыл бұрын
It's a very different style and the difficulty is likewise different in its challenges. Capricho Arabe is flashy but really doesn't have the multiple voice separation and counterpoint of this work so very different types of skills. I'd say this is more difficult to pull off in good style.
