Hello from Japan! I’m turning 26 and been heavy smoker for more than 5 years. To be honest, I don’t even enjoy smoking and I hate it. I’ve tried everything and failed so many times that I always end up being disappointed. I bought the book after watching your review. I just wanted to say thank you so much for sharing your experience. I did really feel like I’m not alone in this journey. People I love are non smoker and they just say to quit when it’s not that been easy for me. I can’t wait to read this book today. Once again, thank you so much and I’ll let you guys know how it goes for me :) More power to you!

And I have a daughter now so that’s even more reason I just don’t want to be addicted to nicotine or sneaking puffs in etc . Just not who I want to be even if it seems like it would feel nice to have that crutch to give into once in a while. Bc really, crutches suck! It’s all a lie . Freedom is definitely better. Mr. Paley, great review! I also believe Mr. Carr's Easy Way does work helping people stop smoking. I didn't quit yet, but after reading the book two times, the books points are starting to jump out at me, and each day my desire to smoke is leaving. I also agree that once the Big Monster is dead, I will be done forever .... Thanks for your review!

I totally understand Mike. I'm 44, been a heavy smoker since 15, started occasionally at 10. I have also quit for 7 months, 8 months, and 2 years. After a grizzly oral surgery/bone graft i was in so much pain and since i knew my surgeon since i was a baby he 'didnt wanna give me any pain killers.' I told him i just need a few days or a weeks worth & he said take ibuprofen. That night the pain was so severe that i bought 1 pack, had 2 smokes, threw em away, but the habit slowly crept back up on me. Now im a chronic pain sufferer, take tons of pain medications anyway, but now smoke 30/40 cigs a day. I had 2 years under my belt and despite trying to look out for me, he inadvertently started me smoking again. He learned his lesson cause i told him this and he agreed that with that surgery he shouldve given me at least a few days of pain medication. Now i need another nasty oral surgery so im trying to get it done BEFORE i quit this time. Good luck buddy!!!

So here are my 5 Cents. Ordered the nicotine quick mist, I was convinced there is no way Id quit cold turkey. Somehow the mist did not help as expected. Went online to give a bad review of the product, where some guy mentioned Allen Carr. Googled it, found an 1 hr seminar on tube, watched it and here I am 9 days later, a non smoker. Havent touxhed the quickmist since. The video/book worked for me and I am as enthusiastic as this guy. Google also found the book as pdf, i read it afterwards to get the full story.The author heals your addiction, fights and exposes the big companies making big bucks both from tabacco and nrt products, so please, this is the last person you should doubt.I bought a hardcopy as a way of saying thanks. Sadly mr. Carr is already dead, but whoever spreads this miracle, yes, miracle, deserves full support.p.s. I am from europe and english is not my mother language.

I didn't know Alan Carr had passed on. That is sad news, but I'm sure he ended up with a few more years than he would have had had he continued to smoke at the rate he mentions in the book. May he rest in peace, and a blessing on him for all the help he provided for so many others.

Yes he was a gift to us...and I am grateful to God I found his book. Helps a lot....never ever thought it will be easy and yet it is :) I was on the patch before reading and couldn't understand why on hell I still want cig. Imagine my surprise when reading book and I took patch off and I feel better and more convinced I will kick this time that 'habit/adiction' off for good. Bless this guy Allen for doing this !. I also like yourself Deda downloaded just pdf and then as thank you bought copy. Amazing how little doctors here ( Australia ) know about real help like Allen Carr book. I think I will buy one more copy and give to my GP So he can give to someone who needs help. Bless Internet as I wouldn't know. Years ago I went ( waited long time ) to clinic to help me with cig problems. OMG .......what a ...scam it is. They give you med that make you depressed or NRT etc. Not even one word about this book. Shame! Again thank you for sharing your experience David.

So happy for you! I never played any card games but I wish I did so the visualization would register with me and help me too!
@DavidBrianPaley7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's an effective image. Perhaps you could find one that relates to a game that you do play. Then again, as long as you understand what the image represents, no harm in using that one (as long as it doesn't turn you into a gambler). Just kidding. In case you aren't certain what the image means(because you don't play cards), in poker you get a chance to throw away a couple cards from your hand, and take a couple new ones, in the hope that it will make your hand better. Well, that demon, he wants me to take some extra cards, because he's taking some. But I know that he's taking extra cards because he only has 1 pair of 2's, and that the lowest hand of consequence that you can get in poker. Thus, anything he draws stands to make his hand a little, or even a lot better. But I'm refusing to take any cards because I already have a Royal Flush, which is the highest hand you can get in poker, so there is no card I could throw away in the hopes of getting anything better. So no matter how much he tries to convince me to "draw a card" (have a cigarette), I just say "No thank-you" because I already have the perfect hand. Sorry it took so long to answer this comment, but I'm always surprised when I get visits on the one or two KZbin videos I've ever taken time to make, and it's so infrequently that it happens, that I sometimes forget to check on them.

David Paley - Actually, thanks for the long explanation. I wouldn't have understood otherwise and this is a very good analogy you came up with. I think I will reread this a couple of times, maybe even print it out and keep it in my pocket for when I'm assaulted by cravings. I've been unsuccessful in quitting -6 hours was the longest I'd gone smoke free. Thanks again and I'll try the visualization!

I had quit smoking for 17 years by reading the book, but started smoking again when I quit drinking 2 years ago. I have read the book again and went to the seminar but i am still smoking. Please help me. I hate smoking and I really want to stop. I feel I have a addictive personality. I replace one addiction for another.
@DavidBrianPaley7 жыл бұрын
Much as I would like to be that person (the one who could make you stop), I'm not. I did exactly what you did, and like you, it worked. If something caused you to start again later then all I can suggest is exactly what you already thought of....go back to the beginning and repeat what worked so well the first time. And if it doesn't work immediately, I might even suggest trying again. Maybe your brain is pouting because it feels that you tricked it the first time when you began smoking again after you told it you quit, and so now this time it just doesn't believe you as much. You might have to work a little harder to convince it this time that you really mean it before it agrees to stop those cravings. If that sounds silly, that might be because I'm not a psychiatrist, and if someone, or something, has convinced you that the true source of your problem is something called "an addictive personality" (something we all manage to live with to some degree or another), and you really want to get rid of yours, then it's the guy who IS a psychiatrist that you'll really need. Whichever way you decide to go, I truly hope it works out for you again, and I'll be remembering you in my prayers. Oh, by the way, congratulations on quitting drinking. That's a big deal for many people all by itself, and I ask you this only with love in my heart...shouldn't you be celebrating that occasion rather than denigrating the accomplishment by blaming it for your smoking?

If my eyes appear to be moving around, they could be shifting from the camera, which was to my right, and my computer screen, which was more like directly in front of me. I also suffer from PTSD brought on by two rather brutal attempts on my life between the ages of 6-8, that left me with a severe shyness when communicating with people.
