I miss my thirties too. Great job. That splitter really moves. Your firewood helper/stacker is a great worked too. My wife used to be my best helper, even though she is 4' 11". She slowed down as she got closer to 70. She doesn't help any longer and I don't do near as much as I used to. It is not an excuse, it is a reason. That looks like about 2 rounds past 1/3 cord.

Very impressive for using a single wedge. Great job guys. Just curious what size pump and cylinder/ram you have on buster. Love that cycle time. I always find it comical that the splitter speed challenges never seem to stipulate the final size of the splits. Sure it's impressive to use a 8 way wedge, but I am sure those splits aren't very uniform in size. It's easy to be quick with any commercial splitter if you're making boiler wood. It's a different game if you are after bundle wood.

It would only be fair if the contest was between single wedges

I agree but we figured it was worth a shot to see how we would fair against 4 ways and box wedges .

I'm sorry but that's the record for a vertical splitter. I would challenge anyone with a vertical splitter to beat that time. Unbelievable

It was as fast as we could go but with a couple young folks running it they could shave off a fair amount of time
