Excellent stuff, ACS again next week so spending the weekend prepping up. The last Boston I worked on I got into I heated debate with the know it all customer, there was no vent fitted and he was insistent that the boiler did not need a vent on the grounds that it had been fitted for 20+ years without one! This job would be ok if it wasn’t for customers!

Hi Allen thanks for this very useful lesson. i would like to ask a question. suppose ventilation comes 300cm2 on the walll. can we make 2 ventilation say 150cm2? i meant sometimes if it comes big hole. so rather then big hole. have 2 or more ventilation. Thank you in advance.

This for gas fire If basket type fire does it require 100cm2 vent but no mis. But if no vent and passed all test flue flow/spillage is that an at risk. Can you confirm Allen?

Good video, but wouldn't it be better to have the flu above the pitch of the roof? In my opinion, it would, as the flu would be above both passive stacks.

Just done my acs exams and had a question which I cannot find the answer to and the tutors are not 100% either 😂 What is the additional ventilation requirement were a DFE fire and a solid fuel fire are in the same room?
