My father, Dave Adams, will be greatly missed by his wife Doreen, his 4 children and many friends. He was a man w unlimited knowledge and love. If you have ever met my father you were blessed as a person because he always left a piece of himself for you to walk away with. I will miss you dad! I will always consider you to be a standard that can never be lived up to in friendship, loyalty, honesty and love. This week would have been Dave and Doreens (Mom and Dad's) 60th wedding anniversary. Congratulations mom and dad. You will be missed greatly by many and held closely to many more's hearts. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH DAD! I MISS YOU🥺. I know wherever you are its better than being in pain. You are and always will be my idol. sorry to hear of your loss.

So sorry for your loss, I was a fan of Bay State back in the Bob Fouracre era of the mid 1970's and your dad always added a common sense view in regards to the bowlers. I so often agreed with his well put comments. He always gave a great analysis of spare leaves and how to play them if deadwood was involved and such.

In candlepin bowling, there is Tom Olszta and then there is everyone else.

I have to remind myself how all these bowlers are 30 to 40 years older now depending on the vintage of the match. I get so immersed in the match I often lose sight of this fact. Most of us grew up in an era of if you didn't watch it on TV at the time it aired you were out of luck. These bowlers now, due to the internet era will remain forever young which isn't a bad thing. Sometimes the Channel Sponsor will add an R.I.P. out of respect to the bowler above the Comments section in the video and then it really hits home how many years have passed. "Wolfman" will often make it known out of respect for the featured bowler(s) who has passed on and it's rather sad of course. I am not implying anything in regards to Tom and Lee but just in general.

i'm in my 70's and still bowling and watching the old bowling shows on youtube, seems like we'll have these shows now forever. we used to watch ch. 5 on saturday noon and ch. 27 on saturday and also the shows from new hampshire.

Bay State Bowling!! When I was a youngster,I'd watch B S B every Sunday night 7:00. We had a B+W 13"Zenith with no remote control. I like their format in which 2 challengers bowled one string and the winner takes on the defending champion 2 strings. Oh yeah Roundabout-- Yes was their better intro.themes.

I also loved the show when I was growing up. I attended a few taping sessions and got to keep score for the bowlers one time. My claim to fame in candlepin bowling came in 1975, when I was a member of the Junior Boys State Championship team.

Did Olszta ever lose?
@Nomah19792 күн бұрын
Yea he did, He never beat Paul Berger from any tapings that I have seen BUT Tom had a 22-week streak on channel 5 and had over 100 appearances on TV He won the championship multiple years...Plus he was as clutch as any bowler I have ever seen. That match against Craig Holbrook where he needed 3 straight strikes at the end of the string to win by one pin and he pulled it off? Never seen anything like it Tommy is the GOAT

Any Ron Brewer? A brilliant finesse bowler. Who also had quite a temper.

I don’t remember Lee Bergeron looking so much like Ron Swanson, yet here we are.
