I'm a Mormon watching this and I am so confused and struggling so much. I just want the truth. I desperately do not want God to say "depart from me, I know you not." That's my motivation on my faith journey. Please pray for me. I need God and Christ. I need to know the truth. My salvation depends on it.

I pray that you find the truth! The truth of the infinite, almighty God, the first and last. Don’t lean on your feelings, lean on the word. Like mentioned in the interview, begin with reading the New Testament all the way through without putting LDS goggles on before you do. May the Lord bless you on this journey ❤️

I left Mormonism last year. I’ve lived in Utah most of my life. The last 10 years I was miserable, lonely, anxious and was suicidal. July 2023, I dropped to my knees and asked God to help me… that was the day I was finally going to take my life. BUT GOD. Now I’m living in the South, God moved my family away. Im born again. All the glory be to Him that saves. Thank you Jesus.

I had some doubts about my faith in Mormonism growing up. The things we did and going to the temple to do baptisms for the dead. I personally always felt unworthy and could never please God. Also asked to do things I didn’t want to do. I relied only on my feelings about the Book of Mormon. Of course I felt good about it. But there was always a void. I stopped going to church for a while and at age 35 I was trying to go back to the ward in my area. I wanted God but God had other plans. I started to hear the word of God and started reading the Bible. I decide not to pursue going back to the Mormon church and focus on my relationship with God in my home. God met me not in a church but at home. I started encountering him daily. He started transforming me. I knew I was saved by his grace and that Jesus fulfilled everything for me. What a relief!!!

This is the absolute opposite of what God wants us to experience. We should never feel like we have to always please Him or He will hate us. The Wilders definitely share this message and it's false. I feel such light and peace in my life when I steer clear of messages that are meant to create doubt and cast aspersions. The most important thing that we can do is to pursue things that will help us to uphold good values, build our inner light and build our inner happiness.

Always feeling unworthy is so common in the mormon church. Last year a faithful active mormon got up and bore his testimony about how one day he hopes he's good enough for the savior to be saved. I was saddened by his hope given how many years he faithfully served as a bishop and I was an executive secretary to him. The guy is a genuinely great person, I hated the fact that there's still this uncertainty looming over him that he feels of returning to God and Christ. That is not a loving heavenly father that wants us to feel that at any point. I began to see this trend and went deeper in to deconstructing my belief in my lifelong faith of the mormon church(born and raised, served mission, married in temple, kids baptized). I no longer feel that uneasy feeling of unworthiness and have shed much anxiety and stress that I've carried my whole life.

"Build our inner light & happiness"? Ok, you are not a Believer of the Gospel. Padre God is a jealous God & THAT says ALOT. Pleasing HIM is definitely forefront of our walk. Do we always succeed? Definitely not. This does NOT mean HE hates us. "Hate the Sin, LOVE the Sinner", plus Padre God definitely acknowledges that we HIS children "fall short", very short. The fact that you choose to twist The Bible plus your very last statement, demonstrates that you are into "self", which you know very well that your "own understanding" will fail you often. Leaning on HIS understanding & HIS timing will never fail us. Peace be with us all 🙏. "Isa"

Former Mormon here. Thanks Lynn and Allie! I left ‘the church’ 40 years ago. Didn’t like it anymore even though it was my family’s religion from the beginning. I wanted to know the Bible and for years kept getting this prompting to learn the Bible. 20 years ago I started attending a Bible Study at a local Christian church and have been changed, made new, reborn, since then. Judge not lest ye be judged. There is no place in the Bible that explicitly says Mormons are not Christian and they are going to hell without needing extrapolation, inference, interpretation or opinion. That said, the most important thing in this life is that we build good relationships, pursue a path that will help us to uphold good values, build our inner light and to build our inner happiness. If those things are met, whatever path we choose the Lord will take care of us.

I am Lds and we do an rigorous study of the Bible. We are encouraged to study it and not only that, but to know the history behind all of it's writings. We are theists. Meaning, we read all of the words of the Bible and search for that truth. We don't cherry pick verses. We don't sit and listen to a pastor talk each Sunday. (Our church is volunteer based religion) We learn for ourselves. We make connections. Take this verse for instance. "Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?" 1 Corinthians 15:29 NKJV The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints answers this question and many others.
@dz7a756

@ctcsadboc22 Not cherry-picking verses? I am glad you picked this 1 Corinthians 15 verse because it's good for deeper context, to quote the two verses above it: For the Scriptures say, “God has put all things under his authority.” (Of course, when it says “all things are under his authority,” that does not include God himself, who gave Christ his authority.) Then, when all things are under his authority, the Son will put himself under God’s authority, so that God, who gave his Son authority over all things, will be utterly supreme over everything everywhere. 1 Corinthians 15:27‭-‬28 NLT God's authority, who gave His son Jesus Christ authority over all things everywhere. So in other words, Joseph Smith doesn't have authority, the book of Mormon doesn't have authority, people over your wards don't have authority and neither do those men who claim to be prophets (that are false). Anyone who claims to have the will of God in their lives will not have teachings and doctrines that go against the God in Jesus Christ's authority. Be well and be at peace.

The Mormon "bible" is not the same as the KJV Holy Bible. Joseph Smith "cherry-picked" and changed, twisted/deleted/added... MANY words and verses in prophecy and scripture! If you were to get a REAL Bible and compare it to your Mormon "bible," you would see that Joseph Smith plagiarized the REAL Bible(and some literary works) when putting together the Book of Mormon, the Mormon "bible," AND The Pearl of Great Price, AND the Doctrines and Covenants. It's all FICTION made up by Joseph Smith. I encourage you to go watch a YT video at Expedition Bible and watch a Christian and devout Mormon comparing/debating the ACTUAL ancient Holy Scriptures using Joseph Smith's "bible," ancient manuscripts and the Dead Sea Scrolls. It proves that Joseph Smith was a false prophet. Many of his prophecies NEVER came true(which defines a FALSE PROPHET). Hopefully, you will SEE...hopefully, God will open your eyes to the truth. Mormonism is just NOT TRUE. Jesus is NOT the brother of Lucifer/Satan. God was NOT "just a man," there is NO BAPTISM for the dead, there are no secret names, underwear, rituals, etc., etc. in TRUE Christian faith and salvation by faith in Christ ALONE.@@ctcsadboc22

From the LDS website, "Mormons believe that all men and women ever to be born, including Jesus Christ, lived with God as His spirit children before this life. God wanted each of us to come to earth to gain experience, learn, and grow to become more like Him. But God also knew that His children would all sin, die, and fall short of His glory. We would need a Savior to overcome our sins and imperfections and reconcile us with God. Mormons believe that Jesus Christ was chosen to be this Savior long ago during our premortal life with God." This, along with so many other Mormon beliefs, clearly demonstrates that Mormons worship a different Jesus than the Jesus of Christianity.

I find the born again movement very fascinating. They say one's character and actions in life do not matter as long as you bring Jesus into your life and confess Him. Fair enough no doubt. A good thing to strive for. Here's the interesting side to that - they absolutely ridicule LDS people and Joseph Smith's character and actions up and down. I once had a member of Adam's Road (Lynn Wilder's son's former group) tell me that if hitler had said "I confess Jesus is my Lord" at the end of his life, he would have complete and full salvation no questions asked. They then said "If mother Theresa had not uttered that phrase, she would go to hell." To all reading this - there must be at least some responsibility in one's salvation as they walk closely next to Jesus Christ. Words alone do not have the power to build commitment to Jesus Christ.

@@rugby4lifenone615 The bible teaches that if we put our faith and trust in Jesus (WHO IS GOD) and confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord we will be saved. You don't have to do any good works as your good works are as filthy rags before God Isaiah 64:6. There is NO amount of good deeds that can help you merit salvation. The bible also tells us that when we believe in Jesus we receive a changed heart and our desires begin to change. We desire to do the things that please God hence we are able to do good works and these works act as a proof of our faith that we are truly saved Philippians 2:13. So if your faith in Jesus isn't bearing the fruits of works, then you never truly believed in Jesus. That is the TRUTH of the BIBLE. Dear friend, please read your bible. It is consistent and true.

I just read your comment. I want you to know that you are right. When we recognize how sinful we are that we can do nothing to save ourselves we realize we need Jesus. We have to depend on Him! When we confess our sins Jesus is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. But its not magic words that save us, it is Jesus who saves us. We have to depend on him. We cant trust in our own good works. Or trust in a "sinner's prayer". If Mother Theresa trusted in her own good works to save her, she will be found lacking. If hitler recognized his sin and repented of his evil ways, admitted that Jesus is who He said He was, the only way the truth and the life, he would be saved. Its not by works that we are saved, but when Jesus saves us he gives us a new heart, one that wants to follow him, a heart that loves God and loves people. That is how you can recognize someone saved by grace. Its not a get out of jail free card, it is not "fire " insurance, it is recognizing who Jesus is, that's what the thief on the cross next to Jesus did. And being God, Jesus knew his heart and could proclaim that He would see him in paradise. Thankfully we are not the ones here on earth to make that call! It really is a miracle, not something any of us can earn or deserve. That's why its called grace!@@rugby4lifenone615

I was raised mormon. I remember the pressure of performance as a young child. My mother was raised as an evangelical Christian whose parents moved to Utah and she then met my Dad who is many generations mormon and he converted her to the LDS church. She even works at BYU now. I see the terrible pressure she is in to promote herself. My grandparents watched her turn from her Christian faith and mourned the loss of their daughter. I was about 18 when I left mormonism to follow a life of drugs, alcohol, and even went down the homosexual/new age rabbit hole. I got pregnant with my then boyfriend (now husband) when Jehovah's Witnesses knocked on my door. Their message felt so familiar to me but in an even more powerful way. I thought it must be the truth because this religion teaches world wide unity and rejects worldliness and anything that is "pagan". I was a zealous Jehovah Witness for 8 years. It wasn't until I started listening to KZbin influencers like Allie and Mike Winger and Aplogia Studios when I heard the voice of Jesus tell me "I AM" (which just blew open the Trinity to me). I surrendered in that moment and just wept on my knees. The pressure and anxiety of performance was over. Jesus said "It is finished" and meant it!! I was baptized this last summer and am teaching my wonderful children about the beautiful grace filled gospel and the true God of the Bible. Pray for my family because they are all still suffering in mormonism or new age beliefs. 🙏

I’ve been in your position several times, I get the struggle! It’s no fun. :(. What I will say, is that every single time I was in that doubtful, confused place (which I know Satan was trying to keep me there), God ALWAYS brought about a “divine intervention” (where I knew it was HIM, not a coincidence) to remind me that He had seen me struggling with doubt and questions; those personal experiences are what truly solidified my faith. ❤. Pray that God will reveal Himself to you, it may not happen immediately, but He WILL. He longs to bring us back to where we need to be. ❤. I am finally on firm ground, and whenever my faith starts wavering, I remember those specific personal spiritual experiences with God. Just take all your doubts, questions, and confusion to Him. He understands that we have human minds, and that Satan stops at nothing to confuse us! God WILL bring clarity. And also, of course reading the Bible….and, one of my all time favorite (famous) pastors are Charles Stanley, and David Jeremiah. Their messages are so easy to understand, because they speak it like it is….and straight from the word of God. Also, find out what your local Christian radio stations are….there are lots of amazing pastors speaking throughout the day (great music as well). Praying you get the clarity you are seeking. 🙏💛

The Bible says that it’s not by works, but it’s by faith that we are saved. Also, Jesus said that there are no husbands or wives in Heaven. There is only one heaven (one new earth), it’s called the New Jerusalem and Jesus will be the light to that earth, where all those that believe and confess with their mouths will be in. There no other heavens. The uttermost important commandment is to love God, but if you don’t know who God really is, idk how you will accomplish this commandment. How can you have faith if you don’t know the true Jesus? Thus, pick up a Bible and read it with fresh eyes. Men will not become gods of their own earth, there will be no husband or wives in heaven, there will be no sex in Heaven.

This will be long, but I want to share it. I was born into the Mormon Church. Served a mission, got married in the temple, my husband blessed our kids into it. Starting in 2019 at the age of 29, I had a series of strange dreams with meanings that didn't seem obvious to me. They included seeing church buildings on fire and trying to escape with my kids, swimming in water with sharks at a church event, but seeing a cross in the distance and being told to run to it. And other strange things. I felt like God was trying to tell me something, but I couldn't understand it because I loved the church and truly believed in it. I believed it was a good thing for myself and my family. Fast forward to about a year ago, and I was serving as a primary president in my ward when I watched this video. It was triggering. Many of your videos were triggering. They made me uncomfortable. Steve Deace's videos affected me the same way at the same time. But as I watched and listened, those dreams began to be illuminated to my mind. I started to understand what I was being warned of in them. I cried to God, telling Him that this was a confusing and hard thing for me and I wanted to know what to do. That night, I had another dream. I was a mormon missionary swimming through a high flood with my companion when I was suddenly bit by something I couldn't see in the water. My companion told me it was one of the invisible sharks, and it had taken a chunk out of my arm. I showed the mission president, other missionaries, and none of them seemed concerned. I was in so much pain and wanted help. No one would help me. The mission president's wife said "You were bit by necromancy. That will never stop hurting you." I cried out "My right arm offends me! I have to cut it off!" Then I woke up. I instantly remembered the dream about swimming with sharks at church and realized what it meant. I understood that all the work I did in the temple, all the mormon doctrine I believed, was rooted in this belief in necromancy. I had been attempting to engage in this relationship with dead people in order to save them, and that was not only offensive to God, but harmful to myself! My eyes have been opened to all of the other offensive and harmful doctrine of the LDS church, and I have left for Christianity. So all of this long post to say.. thank you! You and Steve Deace were instruments in God's call to get me out of this false and dangerous belief system. I can't thank you enough. Praise God!

Here are some sculptures that may help. (Matt. 24:14) We are in the year 2023 and the gospel still hasn't been preach in all the world. So no to the year 1914. (John 1:9) Charles Russell prophesied that Jesus would come in 1914, did not happen so he changed his prophesy to just his presence, but Jesus's presence never left. (Jude 1:14) ( 1 Thes. 3:13) Jesus when comes in won't be alone but will be with his Saints.

He’s very well spoken and able to explain things in a whole different way and thought process than his mom. So great so see the joy in this man’s heart. @@Christianchoose The Bible says that GOD draws people unto Himself. It doesn't take WORK or the 6 'covenants!' It takes the WORD(ONLY!) Mormonism is the most BIZARRE "denomination" that I have ever studied. It is every bit as strange as Scientology(the planet Kolob???) The deeper you go into the SECRET("sacred") RITUALS, the crazier it gets(seer stone in the hat?) Mormons have a (totally) different Jesus, God, Scripture, and Gospel. It doesn't align with the Holy Bible whatsoever. It DOES(closely) align with Freemasonry. Saying that Jesus Christ is Lucifer's brother is BLASPHEMOUS(and VERY offensive to Biblical Christians). If only ALL Mormons would read the New Testament and put aside their "extra-Biblical" teachings, perhaps their EYES, ears and hearts would be opened to the GOOD NEWS of grace, salvation and eternal life in Christ ALONE. In Christianity, there is no such thing as "the covenant path." That is false doctrine. Read John 3:16.

I listened to this out of curiosity as a member of the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints, knowing that there would be things I wouldn't agree with. I also figured I could absolutely benefit and learn from this woman's perspective and experience. I have enjoyed listening to your podcast for a couple of years now. I have loved supporting a Christian woman who shares so many of my views. That being said, I found it shocking that you would put this interview out there. I am all for hearing about other people's experiences and I wanted to hear what this woman has to say/believes. I have known many people who have left the LDS church for various reasons. It's interesting to hear their stories as well as the many stories of people who join our church. I was mostly just taken back at the way you carried the interview knowing that many of your listeners could be LDS. We absolutely believe in Jesus Christ as our savior and redeemer. To say we don't is hurtful. I don't feel like this was a fair depiction of what we believe in its entirety. I honestly can't understand how you could throw so much negative energy into this interview considering what is happening in the world. We are good people who follow Jesus Christ and are trying our best to serve and love those around us. I have NEVER commented on a public forum of any kind until today. This stirred so many feelings in me that I had to comment. Just a little side note: next year, our church curriculum will be dedicated to the study of the new testament again (just finished a year of the old testament) I am excited to read, study, and discuss it as a disciple of Jesus Christ. Learning of Him is how we become more like Him. That's the ultimate goal. We should be encouraging each other.

Yeah like maybe her boss, Glenn Beck. I cannot imagine working for somebody who gives you the platform to make money and a living, and then disparaging their religion. I would never do that to anyone whether it was a Christian, Muslim, Jew or Mormon. It's gross. I love how of course the majority of comments just assume everything in this interview is the absolute truth and are sharing it and "convicted" to "save" their Mormon friends and "had no idea" about this and are so grateful Allie and this person have enlightened them. Of all the religions out there I think Mormonism already gets the most hate and derision even from those whom they hoped would be allies. It's not like they need MORE people "enlightened" against them. As Mormons we're used to it but it doesn't mean it doesn't still hurt. I've gotten to the point where I never engage with people about the tenets of my faith. It's not worth it. The vast majority of people have already been indoctrinated and equipped by the Internet or their own pastors to vehemently insist we're wrong and not Christian and a cult and know what we believe and where we're going better than we do. It's pointless. I think the best think to do in regards to Allie for Mormons is to just unfollow. She's always been anti Mormon like most Christians I've encountered in my life. Why not use the new conservative line, "stop giving your money/business to people who hate you."

My husband is an ex Mormon by marriage. He taught in the Mormon church was sealed in the Temple. He was told specifically that he cannot trust the Holy Bible and was discouraged to teach out of it. He started to question these things and started to get called into the Bishops office and he started to push back against in search of truth and was getting shunned. He ended up finding the true gospel and found freedom in Christ. He can now say that He knows without a shadow of a doubt where he will be for all eternity not because of the rules he followed, but because of his faith in what Jesus did for him. He now has that Blessed Assurance. He knew as a Mormon he couldn’t have. He would always have fear or wonder where he stood with his own righteousness which as the Bible says is like filthy rags. When we believe upon Jesus and what He did by shedding His blood for the washing away of our sins, we can have assurance of our Salvation because of His righteousness and His obedience to the Father, not our own to be saved. He doesn’t want a legal relationship (the spinning on the hamster wheel never knowing if we are ever going to be ‘good enough’), He wants our heart. A real active loving relationship with Him by the power of the Holy Spirit. ♥️

I’m a 2nd generation member (aka I was born into it & my parents are converts) & that is one of the biggest things I’m taught is that I can have a personal relationship with God & He knows me by name. I have no problem with people who choose to leave the Church; it’s their life. when she says “she didn’t know God could interact with you” that is just quite unbelievable. That’s one of the most foundational things we believe. Her credibility, in my mind, being able to talk accurately about our church really goes out the window. All of our beliefs build off of our belief that We believe that Joseph Smith had a personal revelation with God & Jesus Christ where they appeared to him….that’s God & Jesus Christ interacting with him. Edit: it leaves me questioning her being able to the best resource to knowing about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. 38:55 “she didn’t know the Holy Spirit could enter you”…man she really didn’t pay attention at church at all. 44:20 again, I don’t think this woman is an expert on The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints & our beliefs so she is very misguided in that we think she is going to the same place as Satan & his minions. Outer darkness is for people who knew God & Jesus Christ perfectly & his Gospel & denounce God. That’s not what she is doing. I mean i could write a very lengthy book if I commented on every single thing she misrepresents, but I’ll leave it at these 3 things.

Lynn is such a lovely lady. I was so happy to meet her shortly after my Faith transition from Mormonism to Christianity. I think what’s important to understand about the different faiths believing in Jesus is that no one disputes Jesus lived and walked the earth. The problem is really WHO we believe Jesus is. Mormons believe he is our brother, created by the Father. Jews believe he was a good man but not their messiah Muslims believe him to just be a prophet. But Christians believe Him when he says in John, “I and the Father are one!” Jesus is God! Emanuel, God with us! The last high priest and propitiation for our sins. It matters which Jesus you follow theologically. Read the book of John.

I have been studying the Bible and the Book of Mormon together including the first chapter of John since I was a young boy, and I know that Jesus Christ is my redeemer and savior. I love and follow him every day to the best of my ability. It is truly the grace of Jesus Christ that makes salvation possible. This principle is expressed in Jesus' parable of the vine and branches (John 15:1-11). If ye love me, keep my commandments... He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him... If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him (John 14:15, 21, 23). I have spent most of my adult life, and will continue to the end of my days to invite all to come unto Christ. How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth! One of the many reasons why I am a Latter Day Saint is because the church teaches us not to attack other religions under the premise of “preaching the gospel” and “saving souls”. I don’t understand why people find joy in tearing other people’s faith. And it is not true that a member needs to have a calling to receive a temple recommend. Why not learning about “Mormonism” from a faithful member, such as Glenn Beck or Jacob Hansen, instead of giving priority to an “anti-Mormon”?

Are you familiar with what Joseph Smith taught about historical Christianity? It is still recorded in one of the LDS books of scripture in Pearl of Great Price (History of Joseph Smith 1:7-20) 18 My object in going to inquire of the Lord was to know which of all the sects was right, that I might know which to join. No sooner, therefore, did I get possession of myself, so as to be able to speak, than I asked the Personages who stood above me in the light, which of all the sects was right (for at this time it had never entered into my heart that all were wrong)÷and which I should join. 19 I was answered that I must join none of them, for they were all wrong; and the Personage who addressed me said that all their creeds were an abomination in his sight; that those professors were all corrupt; that: "they draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me, they teach for doctrines the commandments of men, having a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof." To be fair, hopefully you realize that in comparison, these ladies are being very gentle in their approach. Truth being objective, discussions about the essential differences in teachings between the Bible and Joseph Smith’s should not be immediately perceived as a personal attack.

@@Hamann9631 Joseph Smith and every LDS prophet since him have preached a gospel of “do,” negating the gospel of “done” that Jesus preached and was. The LDS church is all about what it and its members must still do and be if they want to live with God (and be a god) one day. The true church is all about proclaiming what Christ has DONE to make us right with God now for all eternity. It’s a certainty. Jesus Christ canceled the record of debt that was held against us when He shed his blood, on the cross, died and rose again. All you need to do is accept Christ by faith. It isn't because of who you are and what you must do for God. It is because of who God is and what He did for you in sending Jesus to be the sacrificial offering for your sins. To be your substitute on the cross and to satisfy the demands of God's law that stands against you. Christ has done the one work that was necessary to reconcile you to God. Christ has done the one act of righteousness that could bring justification and life to all men. All Christ is asking with open arms is for you to lay down your religiosity and works at the foot of the cross and allow Christ to take it. Salvation is quite simple. Luke 18 And He also told this parable to some people who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and viewed others with contempt: 10 “Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood and was praying this to himself: ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other people: swindlers, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week; I pay tithes of all that I get.’ 13 But the tax collector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to lift up his eyes to heaven, but was beating his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, the sinner!’ 14 I tell you, this man went to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.” ****************

@@Hamann9631 Ezekiel explains what the 'stick of Joseph' is. Ezekiel was speaking to the nation of Israel at that time, not Latter day Saints. Ezekiel 37:15-17 does not refer to scrolls or books but to the eventual national unification of the children of Israel. The claim of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints refutes its own contention in a very basic way. The passage in Ezekiel can not apply to the Book of Mormon which, because it claims to be the record of Israelites and allegedly concentrates on the descendants of a family of the tribe of Manasseh and is not inclusive of all the northern tribes. The Book of Mormon is not an historical record of the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints but the alleged historical record of the ancestors of the American Indians. Neither the Latter-day Saints as a group nor the people depicted in the Book of Mormon can fulfill the biblically explained prophecy. No amount of genetic testing or DNA sampling will show the Jewish people and the Latter-day Saints to be of the same ancestry. The Latter-day Saints are simply not of Israelite origins. Manasseh is not mentioned. The people in the Book of Mormon were from the tribe of Manasseh, not Ephraim. Ezekiel 37 5 The word of the Lord came again unto me, saying, 16 Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim and for all the house of Israel his companions: 17 And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand. HERE IS THE EXPLANATION 18 And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these? 19 Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand. 20 And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes. 21 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land: 22 And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all. _______________ We are told that the two nations (Judah and Israel) will no longer be divided. The old divisions of north and south will be abolished and the nation will be united in God’s hand. No mention is made of two separate records or scrolls being joined together but of Ephraim and the other tribes of Israel joining Judah to become one nation. The stick representing Judah and the stick representing the northern tribes of Israel become one when held end to end in the prophet’s hand. Thus, will the tribes of Israel that the sticks represent become one in actuality. Ezekiel 37:15-17 makes no reference to two separate records being kept, one for Judah and one for Joseph. Furthermore, there is no promise made of a national unification of Jews and Latter-day Saints taking place in North America or anywhere else. For all their assertions and genealogical research, the Latter-day Saints are not descendants of Joseph and can never join Judah in fulfillment of a nonexistent prophecy. Jews and Mormons will never be united as one nation.

So glad I've discovered your channel, Allie! It's so refreshing to see people who love Jesus and believe His word the Bible, and that "the Bible alone" is to be our guide. I just wanted to share a Bible prophecy study seminar broadcasting 7 pm ET live nightly, from the Manhattan Centre in NYC. It started Sept 20, 2024 and is available in 16 languages. It continues throughout the rest of this week. It's by Amazing Facts called Prophecy Odyssey and I'm learning so much and feel you'd be blessed too. Just thought I'd share! Previously broadcast episodes are uploaded for later viewing if you can't watch the live presentations. God bless!

@@_lacyn_ The New Testament frequently refers to the grace of God and to salvation by grace (e.g., John 1:17; Acts 15:11; Eph. 2:8). But it also has many specific commandments on personal behavior, and many references to the importance of works (e.g., Matt. 5:16; Eph. 2:10; James 2:14-17). In addition, the Savior taught that we must endure to the end in order to be saved (see Matt. 10:22; Mark 13:13).

Lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints here. Dyed in the wool, true blue, through and through. Have been a big fan of ABS and her voice for Christian values in the public discourse. Don’t really know where to begin to unpack what in the world is being discussed here, if “discussed” is the right terminology. I won’t attempt to engage on a point-counterpoint basis, as this isn’t probably the best venue, but am always happy to respond to questions. What I will say is, Ms. Wilder’s experience is utterly foreign to me. It has not been my experience at all. Sad that she had such a hard time and I hope she has found what shes been looking for. One thing I will say is that some members of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints study the scriptures, while others, like Ms. Wilder, don’t (or at least didn’t). Not unlike any other Catholic, Protestant, or Orthodox denomination. Glad she’s finally taking the time to study the words of the Savior and his ancient prophets/apostles. @@Elizabeth-rk3doI’m not sure I understand how to specifically approach your question? I would frame it another way: The Bible testifies of Christ. The Book of Mormon testifies of Christ. The ancient apostles testified of Christ. The ancient prophets testified of Christ. Joseph Smith testified of Christ. Modern apostles testify of Christ. Christ established a church with a foundation of prophets and apostles, Jesus Christ being the chief cornerstone. Jesus Christ didn’t testify of the Bible or the Book of Mormon, neither of which were in existence as we know them at the time of Christ. Rather, He testified of His Father’s work, of Himself, of the Comforter that He would send, and of His divine mission as recorded in the prophetic scrolls he cited and that were used in the synagogue. So I guess I’m not sure I follow the logic of the question. Apologies if I’m missing something.

My heart cries out for Mormons. I've met with multiple Mormons, had conversations online, and I just cry out for them to know the truth. I grew up as a disinfranchised, nominal Southern Baptist boy. The only thing that kept me from walking away from God was the fear of hell. Eventually, though not renouncing Christ, I just went and did my own thing. Got into a lot of trouble. To make a very long story shorter, one day, the best thing ever happened: my world came crashing down. I was discovered, uncovered, layed bare. My sins were out in the open and I was convicted of them. And then Jesus came, and God spoke to me, and everything... EVERYTHING changed. I love Mormons. My heart aches for them. The power of the gospel must not be cheapened. The truth of the word must go forth.

A very interesting video. As an active and happy member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints l was struck by a few thoughts. First, why is there such a angry effort to exclude us as non-Christen? Even if we was fervently believe in Christ and recognize that we are saved by grace? Do you think you belong to an exclusive club that only those who say a phrase you approve of can join? Also, l was surprised to hear so many inaccuracies from a woman who was a member for years, she even misquoted the temple phrase. I wish God’s blessings on all his children, and my 2 Ph.D’s have only helped me appreciate God’s desire to bless His children, thus the restored Church of Jesus Christ.

No one is born a child of God. The Bible tells us that everyone is born spiritually dead in their sins?and children of wrath and disobedience. Ephesians 2 Our sins separate us from an infinitely holy and righteous God. Isaiah 59:2 The LDS church makes fun of God the Father and says that he is only an exalted man from another planet, that had to work his way to godhood, lives near a star named Kolob, is out sleeping with other women one of whom happens to be your mother in the preexistence, even had sex with his own spirit daughter Mary to conceive 'Christ,' damns people who deny the eternal principle of polygamy (D&C 132), threatened to destroy Emma if she didn't abide by her husband's adultery (D&C 132:54, 64), is going to have women sharing their husbands with other women for all eternity and the 'other women' will serve as sex objects for LDS men who happen to get to the top level of heaven. Only an evil Heavenly Father would say and do those things. Heaven is not a house of horrors. God loves everyone including women! ❤️ Only those who receive Christ become children of God. John 1:12 Latter-day Saints reject Jesus Christ and say that he is a created being the brother of Satan, so they are not children of God.

Firstly, thank you Allie for being the voice that you are. We truly need more good, kind, firm conservative, christian voices in the media. Thank you for being who you are and for standing up for what you believe in. I have followed you for a while and agree with you 99% of the time, and I'm totally fine that we disagree on a few things doctrinally. I think that in our world today conservatives, Christians, and those who want our country to be family centered should band together and let our voices be heard. Thank you for your bravery in this arena. Allie, I do feel like I need to ask, if someone were wanting to understand what you believe, would recommend that they interview someone who once believed and practiced as you do, but now are VERY vocally against your faith? Does that even make sense? I feel like you have veered from your typical stand of speaking the truth and instead you found someone who supported your previous biases and have convinced yourself you are spreading truth. Many commenters are saying you are brave, and perhaps this is true, but is it brave to hate a religion you don't really understand and then find someone who will trash them to the world and call them a credible source because they once thought they believed it? I would challenge you to live up to your previous standards you set for yourself and actually report on the truth. I have no idea if they would be willing, but I would highly recommend interviewing David Butler or Emily Freeman (www.youtube.com/@DontMissThis). They have been virtually leading a study of the Old Testament this year and my testimony has been strengthened like never before. Either of them (of thousands of CURRENT members of the church of Latter-Day Saints, i could list many more ideas if you actually want them) would be able to much more accurately describe what members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints actually believe. Another credible source would be our website churchofjesuschrist.org. There is a lot that can be learned there. I would also recommend the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints KZbin channel (www.youtube.com/@churchofjesuschrist). You might also enjoy these bible videos our church put out kzbin.info/aero/PL4A73DDEE675FBC39. I have been watching the nightly with my kids. On Instagram you claimed that no one critiquing this video gave a single example of how what Lynn reported was untrue. And while I have read a least a handful of those examples given in the comments, I would suggest that those in our faith may lean toward understanding that doctrinal discussions in the comments section being of little value. When is it effective to debate via the comment thread? What platform were you setting up for those points to be brought up and discussed? You claimed to be open to listening, but provide only the comments section?! Why not listen to someone who actually understands the doctrine we teach? haha oh well, However, since you asked here are just a few of the things she mentioned that are untrue... We are not performance based. We absolutely believe that Jesus Christ saved us unconditionally. ABSOLUTELY. I'm truly sorry that Lynn did not understand that. We absolutely believe that God is unchangeable. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Period. Doctrine has not changed; doctrine will not change. Lynn also states things as "doctrine" that are not church doctrine, but rather things practiced by those of our faith... that isn't the same thing. The Church has not changed it's stance on marriage between a man and a woman, not even a little. Also, I've literally never heard the words "dead word" describing the bible... I've studied out of it everyday this year... ok not actually, but that was my goal, and I was close. Anyway, this is probably too long for you actually read, but I really like you and wish we were friends so I could have you over to my house and you could eat dinner with my family and you could actually see what you completely misconstrued for the whole world. I know Jesus love you and that He loves me and I'm so grateful we get to celebrate Him so vocally this season. Merry Christmas!

Look, I appreciate the insistence on traditional family values and humanitarian work in the LDS faith. Nevertheless, those values are placed on a shaky foundation when attached to a man like Joseph Smith. This man clearly taught that God the Father has a physical body(D&C 130:22), and on one occasion even suggested that the Father dwelt on a planet the same as Jesus Christ. How could someone teach such things and be a genuine prophet? These teachings entirely contradict the Biblical definition of God and the Biblical understanding of the gospel. The Bible teaches that there is one God(Deuteronomy 6:4), that He is Spirit(John 4:24), and that He is three in Person(Matthew 28:19). The Father sent the Son who took on a human nature(John 1:14), to take on the penalty for our sins(Galatians 3:13). Everyone who turns from sin and believes in Him has everlasting life(John 3:16). Joseph Smith twisted these truths in the Book of Mormon and his other "revelations", making him a false prophet. I want to conclude by saying I have no ill will towards any individuals in the LDS church, but my desire is that they might have their eyes opened to the Biblical Jesus.

I grew up Mormon. I stopped attending when I was 18. I attend a nondenominational Christian church now after taking many years away from church in general because of the pressures I felt growing up in the Mormon church. I just wanted to live my life. However, these types of conversations have never sat well with me. Mormons believe in Christ. He is their Savior. I mean… the full name of the church is centered around ‘Christ’. The actual Bible is still very much alive and breathing in most mormon households. Now, are there Mormons who have taken ‘their truth’ too far? Of course. It is why so many children in the mormon church suffer from depression and suicide rates are higher than normal society. Are there Mormons who push and shove their beliefs onto others? Making the church look like it is some exclusive club that only a select few are welcome to? Yes, of course. But every religion has people who act in these ways. ‘Religion’ as we know it will and can never be perfect… because humans run religion. And human will never be perfect. There has been and will always be only one perfect person to ever walk the face of the earth… and that is where my faith now lies. My journey has led me back to that reality, and Christ is the center of my ‘religion’. But every church, every sect of Christianity, every ‘religion’… will be flawed, and of course they will all have people who don’t portray or live in a way that Christ truly would have acted. Find me a perfect church, and I’ll show you a church lacking humility. Christ alone is who I pursue. The church I attend is simply the place I feel most connected to him and enjoy worshipping. I was careful about which church I chose, but my faith is built every other day of the week, not just Sunday. Be kind to one another, Merry Christmas to all.

I am a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. For many years we had accepted the label of "Mormon" as a way to turn what was meant as a derogatory term into something that would be seen as positive through our relationship with God and with our brothers and sisters. Now we have shifted back to correcting the misnomer that we are "Mormons" because it does not accurately represent where our faith lies and Who is in the center of our worship. With all respect, Lynn inaccurately portrayed beliefs we hold. One big one is the claim that we never called ourselves Christian until recently. In truth, everything in this Church is and always has been centered around Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Him (it adds its witness to the Old and New Testament). I know this is true because I've read it and applied the principles therein to my life, and everytime I have done so with a sincere desire to do better, God has changed me. I know that what the Book of Mormon teaches is true because of how it's led me to the healing power of my Savior, just as the Bible has. I am a Christian, and I love my Redeemer. I did not complete this video. It was upsetting that our beliefs were being portrayed with falsehood. Please, if it's possible to do without it becoming combative, have an active member of the Church come on and state his or her beliefs. We want everyone to know that we believe in Jesus Christ. He is our God. We love Him. If anyone has questions about our beliefs, please visit the Church's official website at churchofJesusChrist.org. I'm only part way through the video myself, so I can't yet speak to what she discussed, but I think you may find Micah Wilder's book to be a helpful perspective since he was born into the faith and obviously had a very different perspective than his mom. I agree totally with this entry. Some of the things Lynn gets wrong relate to the LDS feelings on the Bible. There were errors made in the transcriptions of the Bible. Thing about how difficult it would have been to correctly copy the words on parchment or other type paper by hand. The Bible was not written when a printing press was available. Our am offended by having our church called a performance religion. We serve as we are able. We are 😊free to choose. That is one of the greatest gifts from Heavenly Father. Regarding tithing: After everything God gives to us, can’t we express our appreciation to Him. I could keep going, but I will just conclude by saying that The Church of Jesus Christ is the only true church on the earth. I do know many good people who have not yet found it.

I grew up as a devout Calvinist for 20+ years; I read countless Protestant books and books on Christian doctrine. I read the Bible cover-to-cover several times and studied it daily. And when I was in my 20s, I came across the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I was extremely adamant that the Book of Mormon was NOT scripture, and all the things that a good Christian girl rehearses. Yet I was genuinely intrigued by how kind, how genuine, how Christ-like the members of the Church were. They had far more light then I ever felt from being around other mainstream Christians. What was different? I began investigating and reluctantly accepted a Book of Mormon. When I began to read it, I knew there was NO WAY this book came from the devil, when it brought me feelings of peace and a greater love for Jesus Christ. As a member for 12+ years now, I can honestly say that being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ has brought me such joy and peace as I have never experienced before in all my years of being a Calvinist. I am so grateful to have the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. This lady has so wildly misinformed your audience on what members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints believe, that I can hardly believe she belonged to the same church! I think you found someone who went from being a tepid Christian to a tepid Mormon and sadly never really understood either, because she certainly misrepresents what “Mormons” believe! We don’t believe that you have to “do” things in order to be saved, like when she compared us to Muslims. We believe doing good works because that is what the Savior taught, like “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works,” Matt. 5:16. And we believe that Faith without works is dead, see James 2:14-26 “For we labor diligently to write, to persuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God; *for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do.”* (from the Book of Mormon, 2 Nephi 25:23) So I recommend if you want to actually learn what “Mormons” believe, visit this website: www.churchofjesuschrist.org/?lang=eng Or ask a faithful member. But interviewing someone who left the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is not going to be accurate, ever. ❤ I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I have read it, and I have prayed about it, and I have felt the Holy Spirit testify to me. I know that the Lord has not left us alone in these last days, and that He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

I’m a Latter-day Saint. Left a Pentecostal church to join 27 years ago. The Holy Spirit has been on fire ever since and I’ve never looked back. The blessings have been immense and yet the persecution has been intense and this is more of the same. I’m happy to know truth via the Holy Spirit rather than man made theory such as this discussion. No Holy Spirit present here as Lyn spoke. I love that our faith is friendly to all no matter what they believe. We are fellow Christians and it’s time to accept it. Jesus is the Christ and central to our faith.

I agree that the LDS church is friendly to other religions. I was shocked years ago when I learned that other churches taught classes about LDS theology (as well as about various other doctrines, I assume). The LDS church never does that! I mean, who has time?? We only teach our own doctrine. If, for example, I want to learn what the Baptists believe, I’ll talk to a believing, fully committed Baptist. I wouldn’t seek out a disgruntled ex-Baptist or someone with a fault-finding agenda. I appreciate and applaud all religions and give others the respect I hope to receive. Of course the LDS believe theirs is the only 100% true religion. Just as Christians believe Christianity, with all its variations, is the only true religion. Every religion believes they have the truth (including atheism) … otherwise what’s the point?

I LOVE hearing stories like this. I was what I’ll say was “attempted to be raised Mormon” by a convert mom and atheist dad. I remember being 8 and going to get baptized and feeling anxiety for the first time. I knew it was wrong, and carried that with me until my teens when I got the courage to put my foot down and stop attending that church. Unfortunately I rebelled in ways that harmed me deeply, but around age 22 I realized I wanted to know the God of the Bible. I knew enough about Joseph’s lies and the church’s lies, but I wanted to see what the Bible had to say, so I began searching. I was very lucky to have grandparents who were very firm in their Baptist faith, and they actually, without knowing this desire I had, mailed me a Bible in the mail as a surprise. I read it only casually for a good long while because for so long I lived in shame, I was kept awake at night constantly regretting the past and dreading what was to come and just saddled with this sense of unworthiness and otherness and anger. Finally, one day I came across Colossians 1:21-22: “Once, you were alienated from God, and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. But now He has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in His sight, without blemish and free from accusation” and that changed my life. No longer was I not worthy to be loved or redeemed, nor was my salvation or redemption a matter of what I could or couldn’t do to salvage my life. It was done for me, and it was done when Christ died for me, despite everything I had been told prior. It took a big leap of faith (quite literally) to trust in God and to trust that I was saved or that He actually did love me. I heard a verse about God’s “precious thoughts about us” and instantly thought… “ok I may love Him, but how could He actually think about me, specifically, much less love me… after all I’ve done and said and thought… really?” And clear as day I heard God speak to me for the first time, saying: “Why do you think that? Why else would I be talking to you?” in a tone that almost was like someone stating the obvious to me. That was probably my biggest turning point of all. I can’t say exactly why I felt this pull towards trying to find the Lord out of seemingly nowhere, but I can say for certain that I’ve never known greater peace or freedom. The Lord has provided for me when I had nothing, He has comforted me when I felt completely lost, and He has lifted me out of a cloud of confusion and loneliness I felt I could never escape. I was actually baptized today, and this video just showed up in my feed, so I feel extra compelled to share this testimony. If you are reading this, you are worthy of God’s love! He loves you, He knows you, and He just wants to meet you where you are and lift you up to be who only He knows you can be! You are not your works or good deeds, nor are you your past or your mistakes, you are a precious child of God, who wants you to take up your cross and come follow Him! Christ offers REST! Not an endless striving to be perfect, but the rest in the knowledge that His perfect love covers all sin, and He is working in your life!

Well, let me think about that…I taught Sunday school to kids in my ward. Loved the Bible stories. Loved teaching children. But back then anyway, I wasn’t relating any of the Old Testament stories to Jesus. They were just interesting stories to capture the imagination I guess. I never related Genesis with Jesus and His creation. So when I read The Book of John as a Mormon I never felt or knew that book was talking about Jesus as God, The Word…became flesh! Wow what an amazing realization for me! I couldn’t stop reading the Bible after that first Bible Study series. If you read the Bible, be sure NOT to read the Joseph Smith version, or even his footnotes version. You too will be amazed!

@@joanneliddle4559 I am always reading the scriptures. In the old Testament Jehovah is the God of creation, Moses asked who should I say that set me, I AM , so when Jesus was reading the prophesy of I AM, Jesus referred to himself as I AM which made the congregation mad. So Jehovah and Jesus is the same person. I am amazed with the Bible and the Book of Mormon. Here is something you never though of, Jesus is the same yesterday ,today, and for ever, so he has set patters for example there are about 300 prophesies in the Old Testament that are fulfillment and recorded in the New Testament so we know that these prophecies are fulfilled. So there are many prophecies in the Old and New Testament that are being fulfilled in these last days and Jesus being the same have them recored in the D & C. Jesus is using his Church to fulfill Bible prophesies. Did you know that the word Christian was only used once the the Bible from a roman soldier, all the members of Jesus's Church were called Saints.

It is of vital importance to have someone in a big platform, to not be intimidated to ask Dallas Jenkins direct questions about his stance on Mormonism, in regards to his repeated statements about Mormons and Christians “loving and believing in the same Jesus.” And that he “would go down fighting to defend his LDS brothers and sisters.” Since he also has stated that his mission is to portray the “authentic Jesus”, these questions need to be answered in a straight manner and not evasively, as he has done in many other interviews.

Please help me understand the importance of this. We read the same new testament, believe the same stories. He made the movie as he feels inspired by reading the scriptures. He also has a rabbi and a priest to help him with historical accuracies. He is introducing Jesus to a new generation. It is beautiful. My children watch it and ask me questions about Jesus and they are getting to know him. We have discussions on what we agree with or think might be different. Go to your Bible and compare. I think that is the point. Go to your Bible and pray. Build your relationship with God. Don't worry about the relationship others have with him. Just be grateful they are trying and love them for it.

@@teresawhitney3387 My post is not about if people should or shouldn’t watch The Chosen but specifically about Jenkins’ public statements about the Jesus in LDS theology being the same one taught in the Old and New Testament. If you have questions on what we believe I would be happy to tell you. This interview was a poor representation.

@@teresawhitney3387 Hello Terea, I was raised LDS, and was a devoted church member, so I know what the LDS church teaches as doctrines. The question here is not about the series The Chosen, but again, it is about Jenkins stating that both the LDS and biblical Christians believe in the same Jesus. Joseph Smith's teachings about Jesus are not the same as what it is taught in the Bible. First of all, Smith taught that the Father has not always been God but that He used to be a mortal man who needed to work his way up into becoming a god. Isaiah 43:10 denies that as truth: "before me no god was formed, neither shall there be any after me." John 1:1 tells us that from the beginning, Jesus was with God and was God. Colossians 1 tells us that Jesus created all things both in heavens and on the earth, visible or invisible, wether thrones, or dominions, or rulers, or authorities, all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things and in Him all things hold together." vs 16-17 Did Joseph Smith teach LDs church members to believe that about Jesus or did he teach that Jesus became a god through evolving from an intelligence, to a spirit child, who was completely dependent on other gods having sexual relations to birth his spirit? That is a completely different version of the Jesus Christ of the Bible, and we have to warn the sincere LDS people about that because the biblical Christ also said that unless we believe in Him, not in the counterfeit Christs out there, we are not part of Him, and will die under God's condemnation. Only the true Jesus Christ can truly saves us from all our sins. So, even if the initial reaction from the LDS is to be upset, we still need to sound the alarm, as God doesn't want anyone to perish but to have eternal life with Him through a personal relationship with Christ.
