2018, that’s when JHope 24, Jimin 23 and JK 21. They solo the intro each for 20 seconds and captured millions of hearts and souls! Jimin was the only member of BTS who received formal modern dance training at high school. He was a straight A student of the school.

Repeating because it was EPIC. Jimin was honored for his vintage fan dance. He was given an award which really surprised him. But he loved it!! Jimin was so respected for keeping the Southern Korean cultural art form of fan dancing alive!!!

BTS performed in Brazil in 2019 and it was incredible. The Army's voice could be heard from outside the stadium!! The B-Armys sang all the songs in Korean! Incredible energy. On day 1 of the show Jimin had a sore throat and couldn't sing "The truth untold" and the B-Army sang it instead. Jimin cried a lot and then explained the emotion he felt. It's worth watching.

I have watched every reaction on MMA 2018/2019.. Most of reactor are surprised with Jimin performance. He is all rounder and stage commander. RM was right about Jimin. Bts gets attention because of Jimin even before debut. I hope Jimin comeback in 2025 with "Flirting" era 😂..

You need to see Airplaine's dance practice pt2. Jimin is wonderful. Don't forget to watch the explanation video about Idol. It is their response to those who criticized them for becoming global idols. In this MV they make a lot of references to Korean culture, and in the live performance too. "We are global artists, but we are root Koreans too"!

In terms of timing, from the end of Fake Love through the beginning of Idol is all pretaped. Live performed were Fake Love and ot7 Idol. One of the things I love about the award shows is that they always do something to showcase the dancers. In terms of favorite live performances, the medley from Osaka is one of my absolute favorites. It has Dope, Baepsae, Fire, and a slightly unhinged version of Idol. It’s amazing. Oh and you need to watch the Airplane Pt2 dance practice. It is Jimin ala George Michael and is 🤌🏻

This performance of Idol is at the top of my live list. It doesn’t matter how many times I watch it, it still gives me goosebumps. When I was in Korea one of the musts was to go to the Lotus Lantern Festival which is a huge celebration for Buddha’s birthday. The massive parade is filled with cultural performances that literally brought tears to my eyes to be able to witness it first hand. With all of the performers and instruments I had to take a step back and realize and appreciate what I was seeing with my own two eyes. If anyone here is ever in Korea in the spring I HIGHLY recommend the Lotus Lantern Festival, you will never forget it 💜

❣️JIMIN even received an award from Cultural Conservation Society for his epic Fan Dance, from the 2018 MMA, BTS "Idol" intro fan dance performance, making Jimin the first and only musician in Korean history to be awarded 3 National awards. The "plaque of appreciation" that fan award is one of the most prestigious award. Love that the Cultural Conservation Society gave Jimin a special plaque of appreciation for performing a traditional Korean fan dance, buchaechum, at the 2018 MMA. They presented the award to Jimin for helping to spread the dance outside of Korea. Jimin looked so good dancing that💜💜💜

This was actually sort of an F U to South Korean antis who had been saying that the Tannies had gotten too “” Westernized “ of late. In response they broke out the traditional dance that J-Hope did (which is primarily and historically performed by women), then of course you had Jimin’s fan dance (which he won a Cultural Order out Merit for )and lastly came Jungkook. The 2018 MMA is a really special one. After they got the award, they gave a speech of course, and I think to this day, it is a very important speech and gives me goosebumps. It’s included in the “BTS - 7 YEARS OF MEMORIES, 7 YEARS OF HISTORY [2020]” video by Taeza. It’s a very greatly put together video, I can recommend:)

If we take their performances at awards ceremonies, my favorite was MMA 2019. They were simply amazing there! If we take into account the performance of individual songs live, then I really like how the guys perform: - "Pied Piper" - "FAKE LOVE - "Boy in Love" - "Magic Shop" - "Blue & Grеy" - "House of Cards" - "The truth untold" - "RUN BTS" But these are only a few of hundreds of wonderful songs by the guys! BTS, in my opinion, sound simply incredible live - no other group has such energy. There is no such amazing vocal line and such a wonderful rap line anymore. No other group has such dance performances or performances! BTS are unique and legendary! This is why we love them very much! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

From channel BTS Army Boy ❤️🔥😱😍💜❤️👍🙏🔥 BTS performs a breathtakingly spectacular totally LIT over 12 min nonstop medley of some of their most popular, songs: Dope; Baepsae; Fire; & Idol from one of their many sold out concerts in stadiums holding over 80K, this time in Osaka, Japan, during the 2019 BTS Speak Yourself Tour. What made this particular concert that much more special, was that it was held during the day, instead of evening, so you could see everything that much clearer! Their concerts usually go for around 2 1/2 hrs without hardly a break, except when they go dry off, breath some oxygen, change outfits, & come up for air.

Because of this Idol perfornance, BTS received the Merit Award from the Government because this performance became a cover in many magazines in many different parts of the world. BTS used the color of the South Korean flag and their traditional festivities at an international stage. This show made them famous and legit artists in South Korea. Note that BTS became famous first outside SK, particularly in the US because of their presence in KZbin and social media since they could barely get TV guesting, not to mention that BTS music was a departure from the KPop music at at that time and KPop fans find BTS music and performance too aggressive, if not foreign. After this show, BTS became a household name and no TV Korean variety show will miss the opportunity of having BTS in their show.

They can't hear it all as they'd not hear their music, themselves and each other that's why they have their in ear monitors in. I use them when I'm on stage also with the band I'm part of otherwise we'd have a very difficult time hearing each other over the people we are performing to. So I know they cann't really hear them until they remove one ear piece. Also there's the problem of the 2 to 5 second re bonce of your sound off the walls coming back at you.

16:36-16:48 We in the USA think of America when we see red, white, and blue. But of course that can't be the reference. Is it fire & ice? No, it's a reference to the Korean flag, a white background with a swirling red and blue symbol in the center and 4 other small symbols in black. We saw BTS wear red, blue, and black in parts of the DNA MV, too, and in their 2021 Global Citizen Live performance at Seoul's Namdaemun Gate, "Korea's No.1 National Treasure."

You need to check out the MV for Airplane pt 2, it is amazing; and my brain always goes to creating a story based around it (watch it and you'll understand why). The dance practice is one of the best too. Jimin received a Plaque Of Appreciation from the Korean Fan Dance Preservation Society, for reigniting interest in the traditional art form. This made it his third National Award, which is an amazing feat. It is also worth noting that the Fan Dance is traditionally performed by women, but he made it his own. And showed that men can also perform it amazingly. On a personal side note, I have mixed feelings about Tae's bright red hair. I love it on him, and he really rocks it. But... every time I see it, I think about him with that red hair, and his red suit, at the 2018 MAMA awards - and his reaction to Jin's words during the acceptance speech. That always hits hard. I can't remember if you have watched that yet, Allonsyyy, but if you haven't yet I would recommend that you do. Just have tissues handy.
