Your guac was just in contact with air so it oxidized, next time put a plastic film over it and it will darken slower, but you can still eat it, it's not bad. Just scoop the top off or just mix it in, depends on what you want to do.

The guac you bought didn’t turn brown because they put preservatives in it to make last longer, so the color won’t change; which isn’t natural but the one you made turned brown because it’s naturally organic, with no preservatives. It’s kinda like apples, the ones that are bought sliced up in bag don’t change color but the ones you slice yourself turn brown after being out for some time. So, when you see this happening to your food, it’s natural not artificial. Which is better for you.
