I saw I Tonya come up on my Netflix and thought I would do some digging into what happened a little before as the film I would guess would be quite one-sided. I saw lots of people praising tonya and she deserved better. You can't take away tonya's achievements. extremely talented woman but I mean... she is no victim at all. This was just awful tbh at first based on other people talking I thought I would love her but just no. and what did nancy do? she looked disappointed at a silver medal. Jesus Christ yeah that's totally valid, especially after how close she was to gold and obvs her LEG GETTING HIT

Harding finished 8th in the world. People always say how awful she was or that she didn't place. 8th in the world with broken laces was pretty good. I remember watching it live and I still believe kerrugan was robbed of the gold. They scolded her for crying she didn't get cold but she was tied and they took scored from a the trials or something like that and she was edged out by less than a tenth of a point. I wish with a tie they were made to do a short 3 minute routine until u had a clear winner.im sure she was thinking, had she not been attacked, would she have won. Sure she wasn't hurt that bad in the end but mentally it had to just be awful.

I agree. Nancy's performance was athletic and beautiful. Oksana was beautiful too, but too artsy and little girl-ish for my taste. The Nancy haters came about because she was portrayed in the media as an entitled princess - but that was totally unfair and untrue.

Now the reason is why people felt differently with Tonya, and Nancy, is the truth. Originally, it was heard that the figure skater, Ms. Kerrigan was going to be assassinated by the assassin who was sent in support of Tonya Harding as if Ms Kerrigan was an obstacle to the gold medal that Tonya Harding's fans were desperately seeking for her, as their choice of figure skater. If Ms. Kerrigan were removed from the picture, then of course, Tonya Harding would get her gold medal. But what would there be any difference whatsoever? What if, someone else , NOT Ms. Kerrigan, to be a lingering obstacle between Tonya and the Gold medal? So why all the heated 'hatred' against Nancy as if she has orgistrated the scandal just to get the media attention? You try and tell me everything I need to know.
