I say he is the funniest intellectual comedian there is and I’m in my seventies. He keeps me going. God bless him. He has got me through some dark days. Thanks Al Murray.
@iandavis57392 жыл бұрын
I fully agree. His observations backed by knowledge, his nuances and delivery of things we can no longer say publicly, while privately having a giggle within closed circles makes this man one of the only intellectual comedians performing at this level. Five per cent of this monologue was devoted to a clever stab at the Irish of which I am one, and his exposing of the greed, lunacy and smugness of the Celtic Tiger era was right on the money. He subtly portrays us as the victims, and we truly were. We're still paying the debt, fourteen years later with many more years to go. Greetings from a recently turned 59 year old. This performance is incredible.

AncoGaming. English is the most widely spoken language in the world. More people speak other languages, but English is the most common second language. Knowing German is useful in Germany (and Austria) but where else? Knowing English is likely to be useful in practically every country in the world. It’s all the consequence of England being the first modern democracy, the first to embrace science for its own sake (the first society to create a organisation devoted to science) and the first to industrialise and bringing civilisation to at least a quarter of the globe in the greatest empire in history.
