Alone in the Dark: My 24-Hour Challenge in the Woods

I faced my biggest fear by spending 24 hours alone in the dark, deep in the Gifford National Forest. No cell service-just me and the unknown. I confront my fear of darkness and navigate the wilderness alone. Will I make it through the night, or will fear take over and I have to pack up and leave?

Who are we?
We are Adam (North American) and Bernardo (Brazilian) and we are husbands whose paths crossed back in 2016, when we both still lived in Brazil. Since the very beginning, we shared a common passion for travel and nature, which has only grown over the years and led us to this unexpected journey on KZbin, which has allowed us to connect with an amazing community that we’re beyond grateful for. “Go out and make memories” is our motto of living and a constant reminder for us that true happiness doesn’t come from the material wealth we accumulate, but from the memories we create and share with our loved ones throughout our existence. I totally agree with you! I hope they do not break up since they are taking a break from each other. Sometimes taking a break only builds the relationship stronger but there are times where taking a break from each other for so long causes you to forget the other person.

You did face your fears Adam. The sleeping pill is irrelevant, you had the courage to go out there and _stay_ the whole night when you could have left. That's the victory. I know I'm no one to you so it doesn't mean much but like many here, I'm incredibly proud of you. I don't have a crippling fear of darkness so I don't understand, but I can and have seen how real your fears are. You should be justly proud of your accomplishment.

Great concept video, editing and execution of challenging your fears! Your authentic self and pure honesty is a living example of becoming a victor vs. a victim. Tremendous value in your solo journey to "know thyself well." Peace and healing on your quest to a better life that you and Bernardo deserve. And... remember the "rule of opposites" - "if you didn't have the dark - there would be no light" and the opposite applies as well. We need both to have the divine balance of life. Nature is the greatest healer especially when water is the cleansing element!!!
