Vietnam is safer for foreigners than to locals. Police are super efficient and quick when they resolve problems to foreigners. Local people will also help you if u have problems because we Vietnamese care so much about how foreigners view our country so don't hesitate to ask for help.

I've lived in both. Vietnam is much safer than Thailand IMHO. Bangkok can be really dodgy. I walk Saigon late at night all the time. Vietnam is chill

Not really, Asia is statistically much safer than the UK per capita. It's far more dangerous for a single White female to travel around the UK, Europe, America, Latin America, Africa, India etc alone. Southeast and East Asia is very safe. That's part of why they have the highest tourism in the world.

welcome to Vietnam! i traveled to vietnam alone 3 times inthe past......and the best thing about it is you can go anywhere on your own time and you don't have to share the bathroom :)....it does get lonely sometimes but that's what the short tours are for....interesting that you chose Vietnam as your asian country...why did you choose Vietnam?
