This Television show, Alone, is my favorite show besides sports and I have recorded every single episode from the very first time it started airing.. Ive seen some cool shelters built in every single show but this young lady, Ms. Woniya's shelter/ log cabin is hands down the most awesome shelter built. She built it for long term not short term and not only for that reason, she built her shelter for comfort, safety, warmth and one of the most awesome reasons, to feel like home when she walks in from her daily routine of surviving, hunting for food.. Good luck and I hope you win it all cause you deserve it..

@bali song Good point, I have never done it so I can only guess but I'm not sure what other options they have if they get deep into winter. Is there an easy way to keep a hole open for an extended period of time? I've heard of putting grass or something but I don't see how that'd work in extreme cold weather.

Forest Sage Outdoors - all the women on the show cry about everything. We recently got a gem of an episode where one of the female contestants lit her own home on fire. The females of this show always do put on an interesting display of, “skills.”

Funny, I wonder if the they pick all those items by choice, or if the staff of the show tell them what's best to use. So far, almost all of them have the basic same things! Lol. 😄. I'm guessing the show has a list, tells them they have a choice of the 10 items they get to take.

You are right Tammy, you don't get to take just anything you want. (hammocks, for example, are not an option, but gillnets are, with one size specification only). We are provided with a list of probably 50-60 things and can choose our 10 from amongst them. The reason there is similarities in folks lists are because certain things are critical and the folks going out there are skilled enough to know it!

@bali song yeah! I figured as much. Lol. I wouldn't take a hammock that would be that flimsy, they are really uncomfortable to sleep in. That would be the only kind I could see anyone picking, because of packing it around. Most people don't get what you have to do to survive without modern gadgets of today. Or even able to think of what to do with there imagination of putting something together. Making use of items out of the earth and surviving on what it's got to offer. Sad. That's all we had when I was growing up. Go outside, play, and make the best out of what ever you can! Lol. 😄
