Oh my God, Alone, you are soooo sweeet! 🙏💙❤I was sick in bed for a few days and I just saw your video and I'm so immensely grateful for your sharing of my humble creations and YT channel! You had me all teary eyed and really made my day (my year fro that matter)! I'm so happy that you enjoyed the cards and that my humble reflections about life choices actually resonated with you! I did not even know you watched my channel! From the bottom of my heart, all my gratitude! I am so deeply touched! I love this video, Alone, those snowy landscapes are simply amazing and you have really put me in the holiday season joy! I'm so sorry about your allergies and I never would have guessed you had a speech impediment because to me you speak so fluidly and I never would have guessed you are shy also! You look so confident and at ease. I love when you share more about yourself and I really connect and resonate with what you share and who you are! I love the REAL YOU! 😊❤

Abigaelle! I am so sorry you have been sick! After what I just went through, doesn't feeling better just make you feel so alive again! I had watched your channel a bit back when you sent me the cards but over a month ago you had posted the "Coming out of a dark night of the soul" video and it really got to me! "One just has to have humor about life or were just not going to make it" SPOT ON! Now I may not understand all the terms you use but I will learn them I am sure as I watch more of your library of videos. And lets face it, ANY friend of Moose has got to be a great person! My daughter speaks fluent French. I know this because she would talk to me in French when she was mad at me But I think your book BLEU would be a great gift for her! I know I don't have to tell you this but keep doing what you are doing! You are so creative and oh how I wish I could take a ceramic class of yours!! Oh yeah I am a shy person. I had to overcome a lot of that when I was in middle management for the Fortune 50 company I worked for. Training and presentations. So I can sound very authoritative in a room full of Directors and VP's but drop me into a party and I'm the gal hanging out with the potted plant in the back of the room. My speech impediment was mostly cured with my speech therapy in grade school but I do tend to get tongue tied or trip over words easier than most. What you see in my videos is the real deal though. Even when I do the skits! Anyway Abigaelle, you take care! Keep making videos! Keep true to your creative self and all will be good!

@@AloneinRemoteAlaska I'm so glad you resonate with my humble channel and creations, Alone. I feel honored in that way and I thank you so very much. I feel blessed from your kind support! I would not want to mislead you in any way, but I'm just learning at a beginners level in pottery/ceramics (I don't offer classes yet but one day perhaps). That is so cool that your daughter speaks French! Thank you for sharing more about your journey with the speech impediment and how you were able to overcome it. I think it is very brave of you to have a YT channel and I think you are doing an absolutely terrific job at it! I just love your channel and videos so much! I know you are the real deal and that is why I appreciate you so much. There is no BS with you! That is often rare and it is precious. Thank you for being all that you are and do, you are an incredible woman, Alone! Big hugs and high vibes your way 🙏💙

Unless you have a disco ball in the bathroom, you were in the long shot video (around 19 mins) surrounded by hundreds of orbs passing thru the room from screen right to left. I'm very familiar with orbs. Not quite sure I know where they come from but I do know they show up and travel around positive energy people. While not quite Alaska, I sold my family home and bought and moved into a 1949 brick cape cod on 7 acres, perfect water well, creek thru the property, ready made raised bed gardens. Being single and older I feel kinship with you and the joy of living alone with peace, quiet and God's nature and beauty surrounding me. I admire your pioneer spirit and bravery moving so remotely. ♥

My wife and I have passionately talked about retiring to Alaska and that is what drew us to your channel. My wife is currently wearing the golden handcuffs and there is not a day that goes by that she does not say."Can I quit my job". She commutes in heavy traffic to and from work then works at home another 20 to 30 hours each week. Your Apple Fritters were a delight and a highlight of this weekend THANK YOU. You are constantly hitting that "sweet spot" and you might be alone in Alaska but we are with you there in spirit. My wife could be your sister or even your cousin because you both share similar characteristics and interests. We look forward each week to your next video.

I love to wear skirts and dresses also. I feel so much more comfortable in them and in summer they are cooler and I don’t feel so restricted in movements . It just seems natural to me. I like wearing tights n boots in winter with wool skirts, it’s warm! Again, don’t feel so restricted in movement. You might end up doing your own clothing line one day! You never know… I always wanted to do a line of vintage nightgowns. Use old buttons and old or reproduction lace etc . Maybe hand embroidery etc. nice cotton or linen. The sky is the limit! Thank you for sharing some personal things about yourself and I could tell it wasn't so easy for you. Our snow has retreated into Canada, so now I can begin to get back to the never ending chore of stove wood. But as you said, it's what I chose for my "golden years" and no regret. The compensation is looking out my front picture window, while sitting in my easy chair, ( probably working on a hand craft, which I have time for in the snow moons ) and watching four bald eagles, two adults, and their fledglings in a cedar snag on my neighbor's property, looking towards the snow covered mountains in that direction. I'm surrounded by mountains, since I live a quarter mile from the Skagit River. We share the fishing, and gardening interest and I'm looking forward to next Autumns bi-annual Pink Salmon run in the river. I worked as a halibut fisherman in the Bering Sea and the Gulf, some years back, so I'm kinda familiar with Alaska and it's waters. I wish you a Merry Christmas. The most that I do for decorating for the season is stringing lights to a Blue Spruce I planted adjacent to the house, topping it with a star, and calling it done. All my kids are grown, and grandson, as well, and the siblings and previous generation have passed on, so not much sense in working up a sweat over it. 🙂

Man was meant to have a helpmate to cut the pain and work in two and provide balance in perspective. To go through things with you and not at you. But what to do when you can’t find that person, they leave you or your best friend dies? You keep going the best you can like moving to Alaska. Being introverted is difficult and peaceful. All rewards are subjective. The lillies in the field have no worries as we look to them for inspiration. Someone silently watches over them day and night as they are born and as they fade. Never alone. God bless.

It is amazing to wake up every morning to all this scenery! And wildlife! When I first started this channel I never realized how difficult it was to get subscribers. I'd post a video and after a week or two I remember one video sitting at 99 views. I called my son and asked him to watch my video so I could finally have one video over 100 views. I was so excited to see that. So helping other KZbinrs in any way I can was a mission of mine. There are channels that help their buddies get subscribers, boyfriends who help their girlfriends start their own channels but not so much just a channel helping a channel for no reason. Complete strangers. I would have LOVED to hear someone say my channel name back when I first started. I like doing shout outs to viewers too!

Spectacular scenery! I have to agree with your analysis of the work life. Really like the term golden handcuffs. We are slaves to the system. Promises of the greatest opportunities and yet we are enslaved by the perpetual work and no relief for body and mind. Retirement for most is a pipe dream. It's so exciting to know that anyone would even want to know about my life here! But you are so right! Activity to me gets your mind working and gets stuff done which always feels good! Glad you liked my chandelier decorations! I really do love that chandelier! You know when you are a teenager first starting off on your own, making money is the goal. I think we just forget to switch gears sometimes. Another one of my grandmothers suede jackets that I always loved. I feel honored to wear it. I am so glad you enjoyed the video Josefa!

I enjoy solitude as well, but I'm autistic, so embracing solitude is part of the package. I homestead all alone in North Texas and although I have neighbors, I rarely allow myself to be seen, and I built a welded steel fence around my entire property.

Great video, so pretty there. I too love the snow. Even though I am In my 60s, I still get excited every time it snows. Funny, I used to think my skin didn’t like the sun, I still break out in hives at least once or twice a summer. But I always keep covered up the best I can now. Anyways, love your hat and your coat. Love your honesty and love your channel. PS…I too grew up going to school when girls had to wear dresses. Cheers girl. See you soon🇨🇦💕❄️

I absolutely love the snow! Everything just slows down. Even Mother Nature. I also cover up but have had to do so for so long I really don’t mind it. Just get teased as to why I am not wearing shorts and a t shirt because it’s so warm out. The suede coat used to belong to my grandmother. She was a classy lady! 😉 Thank you for always commenting Lyn!🤗 Oh and I used to always wear pants under my skirts. They said I had to wear a skirt but never said I couldn’t wear pants under that! 🤣

You know Adam, I am beginning to think that Alaska is that place that when people realize what they did in the corporate world, they want to get as far away from it as possible to escape it! I actually used to be so motivated by being on the fast track to that next promotion not realizing what I was doing to my family or even my own health. I mean that job did pay for my house and made sure this single mom was able to get her kids just about anything they wanted but I remember my kids and I having a great time in our two bedroom apartment living on a budget. How far we have come huh Adam!

Boy, you get it! This comment is more in response to your short today. I’ve been recently seeing a lot about young people “giving up on the American dream”…….How can we explain to them there is NO “one” American dream…….everyone’s is DIFFERENT. My husband & I chose to work low paying jobs we loved & bought a 3 family house to supplement our incomes. We also chose not to have children. My only sibling had 2 kids & one has 3 kids. So, we’ve had all the fun of sharing her family. YOU ARE LIVING YOUR DREAM! I wish people wouldn’t give up…….I wish they’d just figure out what they want & go for it.

You know I hope people who are watching my channel understand that when I say "Live your dream" it really has nothing to do with Alaska at all. More of a see how I did it for where I want to live.🥶 And of course to show that you don't have to be Paul Bunyan to live in Alaska! 🤣 I think the bigger problem is not that they give up, its more that they keep "planning" and not doing! I remember being in management for the Fortune 50 company and going out to eat for lunch at my favorite Mexican restaurant. I watched a bus girl just having a great time doing her job. I really envied that gal. She enjoyed her job. At the end of her shift she probably didn't even think about work. Thank you so much Norma Lee! 🤗😉🧡

We all have turning points. It's a tough corporate life. When I retired they wouldn't accept it. I worked three more months and finally decided to leave. They put me down as terminated instead of retired. I went back in the system and changed it back to retirement. Boy, what a relief off my shoulders. Almost 40 years in 3 Fortune 500 companies. I bet you're glad you're out, I sure am. And finally living my dream, too. Great vid, lady!
