I love that even in the kickstarter, the developers referred to Alpha 2000 as "Regrettable"

In the official "history" of the non-existent comic book company that the characters come from, Alpha 2000 was an edgy revamp of the character that the readers (and writers) hated, and the comic got cancelled after nine issues.

Alpha works a lot like the new DE Tempest. With her Aspects working almost the same as Tempest's Weather cards, but with less utility to them. Alpha seems to work the best when you can ping a bunch of weak targets that don't have Damage Reduction (DR), unless you get some support from Legacy or similar heroes to pump her damage or make them irriducible. She also works best if you don't pair her up with Captain Cosmic or Unity, as Alpha might go after their Hero Targets. Although if someone on the team can help you get your Silver Manacles Item card (which is the only Item in her deck, so it is easy to consistently get with Collect/Salvage/Discover/Summon/etc.), then you can focus Alpha a lot better.

Item control can definitely make sure she is not dangerous to the team. Very interesting to control her.

Alpha has six (6) Aspects. So you always know how many she has in hand, play, deck, or trash.
