I'd rather not pinpoint Eric for this. You can see he was sitting closing his eyes, looking down while Doug was thinking about final decision. Some time was needed for him to understand Doug called and they go to showdown. It's better to make a pause rather than open his cards before the call. It would be a very stupid and expensive mistake

But it's not in the Hellmuth way where it's fun to watch him lose, it's in a way where nobody can fucking stand him, where everyone would rather never hear from (or hear about) him again rather than enjoying watching him lose. He just comes off as an annoying trust fund rich kid and the few friends he had never checked him for his terrible personality and attitude because they were only hanging out with him in the first place because he threw money around.

Yes but the number of times that river doesn't come and your trips vs straight which wouldn't have happened if you raised pre and got them out of the pot PLUS The number of times that river doesn't come and you get bluffed off by playing a middling hand passively. PLUS The Money you leave on the table from not building a pot. I mean look here, he three bets maybe Doug calls your 3 bet PLUS makes it a 30k raise instead of 20k based on pot size PLUS calls your raise of 150k instead because in that larger pot it's the same EV and suddenly your up 50k on the same hand because you played proper Means that the 120 you win here isn't as much as you'd win if you just played correct

Watch Persson’s body language right as Doug stands up around 8:20. He is immediately relieved to know that his 3rd nuts is going to be good here and is likely against a straight. He goes for a celebratory drink and then belly laughs at Airball’s comment. To me, this is vital information in this kind of spot.
