How to fix xbox one wireless hardware problem

All you gotta do is buy a $5 Ethernet cable you can get a new console if you want. Its something messed up in the interior of the xbox so if you get a ethernet cable (wired connection) it fixes perfectly

Ok guys so before you do this!!! I was trying to connect my Xbox through wifi, it kept saying CAN'T CONNECT (of course) then it said "Your router modem may be set up to filter out some devices" and showed your Mac ID. long story short, I tried a bunch of things to see if it was filtering it out and couldn't freaken find anything!! so just by luck I went to 1- Settings 2-All Settings 3-Network, Network Settings 4-advanced Settings "'5-Alternative MAC Address"' it reset my Xbox then when I retried connecting wirelessly PRESTO!! :D back to Xbox Live and all it's glory!! hope this helps. :)

Thanks for the video! I done exactly what someone suggested in the video first and it worked! I simply unplugged my xbox one from the wall, waited 30 seconds, plugged back into wall. The console took longer to start up, once it started up i was able to find my internet connection! And I did not have to erase a thing!

Yes, I erased everything. Reset to factory and everything. I bought it on Ebay and it said it was in almost new condition so I'm returning it. However, when I first started using it was working fine but then the WiFi disconnected. I got disconnected from Xbox Live and every time I tried to connect, it'll say that I was using a wired network connection when I wasn't. Now, I tried your method but when I got to the Network connections part, no networks would be shown and whenever I typed my network name, it'll just say it's a hardware problem.

TRY THIS FIRST; (Especially if your system has made any reference to your "Mac ID") 1) Go to settings 2) go to network, then network settings 3) go to advanced settings 4) go to alternate MAC address 5) press clear and agree to it. When your system is done restarting you will have to connect to the internet. If wireless and you need strength because of distance then you want 2.4 ghz, if you're close enough and want faster speeds then you want 5 ghz. I refuse, absolutely REFUSE to use the data to redownload my ENTIRE LIBRARY, internet isn't a free flowing stream, it comes in blocks and you WILL get charged more if you exceed your plan. My Xbone worked FINE last night and today it said "oh, you wanna watch something while you paint models? P'shaw!" And thus I spent the last hour figuring this out. Time is money, let's not waste either here.

This works, if you haven't damaged the internal hardwear. After this happened the first time I tried all forms of troubleshooting including this. It hasn't worked this time; but I learned my actual wireless transmissions were unlodged from the housing. If this doesn't work...you have a broken Xbox.

I had a similar issue after taking apart the case to remove a piece of plastic that my 4 year old jammed in the disc drive. After taking apart and putting it back together I got that message about the WiFi not connecting So I took it apart again but this time I held the wireless circuit board and inserted the small screws while holding the circuit board assuring that it doesn’t disconnect from the connector. So I put it back together and it worked just fine. So it was the wireless circuit board that wasn’t connected that created my issue with the WiFi not connecting. So to those who are taking apart the case to remove debris from the disc drive as in my case make sure when removing all those screws 1. Take a video of you removing the case and screws, wish I did because I may have caught that error with the wireless board and 2. Make sure that wireless circuit board is connected which was also the reason why the wireless controllers weren’t syncing. You shouldn’t have any issues after that.

I heard about this, and I never experi it. Till recently, I got a new router the Athena rta2600 r2. So o installed it and play the first two days and it work just fine. i hard reset it on the troubleshoot menu, removing everything and it put me on the A,B screen and it still says i need to connect to the internet saying "Sorry, the wireless network hardware on this console is not working. It will need to be sent in for repair." it's still not working and it's fucked up even more

i did the hard reset and it didn't work , im constantly trying and trying , last time i did this i reset it it didn't work so i turned it off den da next morning turned my router off and it had work , not sure if turning my router off worked but i dont think so cuz i did that this time n it's not working

I have a problem where I’m playing fortnite it will log me out and tell me there was a party error and it does this every 5 to 10 minutes sometimes boots me offline but when I test network and multiplayer connection it tells me it’s all good

Or just unplug the brick from the Xbox and wait 30 seconds and plug it back in and fire it back up
