u do know BEACN is the main team behind GOXLR right? BEACN were created by former TC Helicon engineers. So i doubt they will do something like GOXLR again. That is the reason why they started something new. Im still hugely partial to the Avermedia Nexus. Can handle gain hungry mics like the SM7B, has hardware knobs for volume control, can do submixes, has stream-deck like touchscreen functionality, and soft buttons, can support a 2 PC audio config, eventually got a routing table added, and honestly looks pretty cool. Would have been nice to see it in this video, even as a revisit/update considering you didn't have a great time with it on launch. I've been using it ever since it came out and it will be very difficult for me to switch off of it.

Looking to replace my 7 year old focusrite scarlett 2i2 that i purchased second hand at a pawn shop at that time. Idk if its dying or if its just a bug in firmware as it hasnt been updated in a long time but its giving me issues. Interested in this product because of the dual purpose of it.

Why not the Rodecaster Duo? They just released an update adding more virtual channels. You get built-in DSP, amazing revolution pre-amps, multiple physical faders to control your mic + game audio + music + chat separately, built-in voice and sound effects, pads also double as midi controls you can use like a stream deck. The only one that comes close is the Elgato but it doesn’t have onboard DSP so it takes away from system performance and you don’t get low latency monitoring with processing applied. Beacn studio is cool but you need like 2 additional devices like the mix create if you want volume control and then a stream deck if you need the macro buttons for OBS. Roland has great sound and DSP and SFX but still no separate volume controls and no macro buttons for OBS.
@ShinjiRL2 ай бұрын
Because Rode didn't send it to him for free. This channel was never about objective comparisons or information. It's just an ad for the things he gets or for the things he has frequent meetings with the owners of the product (like it was mentioned for the Roland device). You can extract some useful information from the videos, but for unbiased review this is not the place.
@adonutplaysgames2 ай бұрын
I would imagine the price is an issue. It is 400-500 GBP on Amazon, so it is quite a bit above the devices offered here. Also, the Rodecaster is definitely tailored to a more professional setup/user imo, therefore outside Harris's main target audience for this video. Also, to ShinjiRL, I believe Harris actually owns and uses a Rodecaster Duo for his setup or has done in the past, so try to be less of a cynic, eh?

They can't up grade the hardware so the headphone amp might no be beat or maybe the mic gain, but they could up their game on this later on with a new release... giving a proper headphone amp is very slept on in audio interfaces in general

I'd still like to get your takes on the Mackie DLZ Creator XS (perhaps vs the RØDECaster Duo) especially since Mackie was bought out (merged?) with Rode, and now they are selling competing/similar devices. I'm leaning abit more toward the Mackie because of the NDI and Bluetooth/call-in feature, but im worried about the future support of it now that they are under Rode.

Where does the Focusrite Vocaster One or Two compare to the Wave Xlr for someone who games and streams, and the game they use is Cpu demanding. And I ask since the Wave Xlr if using a Noise Suppression and or EQ on the Wave Xlr, it processes on the Pc vs the Vocasters use the device for processing.

I play competive fps with insane expensive iems that are connected to a 1000$ amp and dac combo. I am sorry I am not gonna plug my iems in a streaming mixer. I am Looking for a dual pc mixer with a optical in( coming from my 1000$ dac optical out ) and a dual usb output. The gaming pc will use the secondary usb output for a mic. Important note the gaming pc must use the mic without extra software. The secondary usb output will give the same mic quality ingame as on stream. This is something the GOXLR lacks cause it has a 3.5 line out only. You hear a big difference if you plug that in the line in of your motherboards soundcard. I use a rodecaster pro 2 now. It has all the options except the optical in. I now use two 3.5 mm in two xlr inputs coming from my dac second output and balance it for my gamingsound in my stream. Audio in stream is not optimal that way. Note i am not using stereomix on my gamingpc cause it creates latency. I Hope Beacn can make a ultimate dualpc streaming device.
