I had my boiler installed yesterday, but it's saying the app isn't available for my android device because the app is too old?

This is trash, it loses connection to the boiler constantly. Impossible to turn the heating on unless I trek down to the cellar and put it in manual mode...

0:21 But I don't have a toggle button on the circle that says Alpha on the Boiler. Mine is an ALPHA EVOKE 28 I have no timer at all which means I have to keep turning the Boiler on & off everytime I need heating. My rents just gone up £200 per month even though my landlord does nothing. Can ANYONE PLEASE HELP ON WHAT I CAN GET FOR A APLHA EVOKE 200 JUST SO I can wake up warm. I don't even have radiators dials on my radiators so everytime I have the Heating on I have to have every radiator on in a 2 Bedroom Massionette! PLEASE HELP ANYONE?! 😢

Hi Hazel, it's best practice to have a time and temperature control on your boiler, we would urge you to discuss this with your landlord or preferred heating engineer. Alternatively, for any technical advice you can call our team on 0344 871 8760.

Hi there, we've just had an ETEC 28 installed complete with Alpha connect, is it possible to setup a schedule without a smartphone?

Hi Andi, the Alpha Connect is specifically designed to work with a smartphone and so unfortunately it's not possible to set up a schedule without one. You can only use the unit to manually turn the heating on/off or to adjust the temperature up and down.

Got one of these, works pretty well, but would love the ability to add more events to the schedule, 6 isn't quite enough it seems!

Hi Adrian. Thanks for your question. Yes, that model is compatible with the Connect control. However, the CB24x is a non condensing, standard efficiency boiler. We recommend, in conjunction with opting for the Connect control, to upgrade the boiler to a high efficiency model for maximum savings.

I have an alpha connect and it is displaying a hand symbol in the top right corner of the thermostat, I cannot find a guide anywhere to what this and any other symbols may mean, please advise

This means that the unit is in “manual” mode. It will ignore any time settings and purely be controlled by what temperature you have set it to instead.

@@jacquessmit4533 Hi, please either try manually lowering the desired temperature below the actual room temperature. Or from the bottom of the app home screen select “schedule” instead of “manual”.

Hi guys I've had this for 18months now and I've only had issues with the wifi functions (app not working for firmware update). After an Alpha specialist came to service the boiler, the thermostat keep on loosing connection with the relay in the boiler. It's driving bonkers. The relay is working fine as I can turn the heating on and off from there. It's just the connection between relay and thermostat that keeps on failing at the point the two are not connecting again. I repeat this started right after servicing...... Any advice?
