Thanks for the review. What happens when the electronics fail, as all electronics do? Will the Delta Wolf operate like a regular pcp?
@airgunextra2 жыл бұрын
Hi David. Daystate have been producing electronic rifles for 20 years or more and they are pretty reliable. In fact, I've never had an issue with electronics failing on the many Daystates I own. In addition, Daystate is increasingly enabling people to perform updates to fix bugs, add new features etc. But to answer your question, no - if there is no power then the rifle will not operate.

Daystate claims that the plenum is 34 CC.. which means they did not get the full advantage of it.. I have no doubt of Daystate quality but there is a big question mark because of this high regulator pressure and low speed

No doubt Daystate engineers demonstrated their extremely innovating capabilities to come out with a full fledged rifle that leaves all other rifles way behind. For such a rifle to take its share in the world market Daystate should provide a strong after sales service to eliminate customers fear of the rifle’s electronics failure. Thankfully here in the US we have an excellent distribution center for Daystate products. It's a real shame that so many guys in the UK have the same complaints about DS customer service and dealer support. Here in the US, Airguns Of Arizona has fantastic customer support and in my experience have been right on top of any and every little issue addressing whatever comes quickly and very effectively. This is systemic across the entire range of products they sell. The same can be said of the FX and the quality of the sales and service of their distributor, Utah Airguns. So, this leads me to believe that the problems are more inherent to the system in the UK. It makes me wonder what it is that your dealers do differently in handling their relationships with the manufacturers. :/

@airgunextra4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Mr. T. Sorry to hear you've had problems with your magazine. You're absolutely right to insist on a replacement, and I hope you get one soon. I haven't had a problem with my magazine. With regards to the Delta Wolf, the warranty is three years for faulty parts and labour. I'm sure that if the LCD screen is damaged it can be replaced, though of course the nature of the damage would determine if the replacement would be covered by the warranty. I'm afraid I don't know what the replacement cost is, but can't imagine it would be especially cheap. If the electronics fail within three years, I'd expect them to be more readily covered by warranty unless there is evidence of misuse/abuse or the use of non-standard parts like the battery for example.

P.EASE BE AWARE YOU HAVE VERY LITTLE ELECTRONIC ADJUSTMENT ON THE SUB 12FLP SO LOTS OF THE EXCITING ADJUSTMENTS ARE DISABLED YOU MAY BE DISAPPOINTED WITH YOU ABILITY TO ADJUST
@airgunextra3 жыл бұрын
Hi Ken. I'm not sure that is completely accurate. If you mean that you cannot adjust the regulator and therefore fps/power to the same extent as you can with an FAC rifle then yes, I'd agree. But the reason for that is pretty obvious. You can still use the integrated chronograph to fine tune output in 5% increments to optimise performance for different pellets and stay within 12 ft. lbs. You adjust magazine count, night/day screen mode, backlight brightness/display time, the length of time before the auto power setting kicks in, you can turn the chrono on and off. And of course, you can still change the barrels/calibre. Other than the ability to turn power levels up beyond 12 ft. lbs. I believe the electronic adjustments are very similar. And if you buy a 12 ft. lbs. Delta Wolf and subsequently receive an FAC certificate, or a new slot on your existing ticket, Daystate will upgrade your rifle to the high power version for free.

The current best of the bunch will only shoot 18gr reasonably well, matched by virtually any half decent, functional gun out there, and utterly demolished by all the other daystates we have. I sincerely hope it's just a bad batch of barrels and not something more. Sorry to hear that Greg. You're right to send it back and give Daystate the chance to address what ever the issue is. I also have a 12 ft lbs .177 and that is very accurate too. I hope you manage to get the issue resolved.

Nice shooting but.... I can do that with my $1,200.00 FX wildcat. To be honest it looks like a rip off of the FX Impact.
@airgunextra3 жыл бұрын
Hi Ken. Yes, the Wildcat is a great gun too but I wasn't setting out to prove the Delta Wolf was better than anything else, just to show what the Delta Wolf is capable of. The Impact also is awesome - I have a couple and love them. I don't think it is fair to say the Delta Wolf is a 'rip off' though. Its very hard to make a tactical rifle look much different. And of course, the RTI Priest came before the Impact, so is the Impact a rip off of the Priest? And then again, the Delta Wolf has an inboard chronograph and electronic action, which the Impact doesn't. Thanks for watching!

Well done Richard talking and shooting through that wind, the shooting was realy accurate. Sorry not for me pal, to much going on, there are probably people out there who would just play with it half the night, and allso there will be people with their tx's and 97's thinking (what the hell is happening to our sport).I am all for technical gadgets to eradicate the wounding of vermin range finders and whatnot, but this realy is overkill but I suppose what ever floats yer boat. Sorry to all offended,plus don't like RAMBO guns. Thanks that was a good review interesting!

What a pointless purchase in 12 ft pounds. Be like buying a Lamborghini restricted to 100 HP. Well at least the lambo would look cool.

Well, Your average UK user is going to be sub 12 ft-lb . Yes FAC holders may find it good. But get out of the licking ass mode . And a rifle at half the price could match it . Guy's with springers With sub 12 ft-lb guns can match this over priced Rifle .
@airgunextra4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching Phil. Do you have a video on KZbin of you and your 12 ft lb springer at 60 metres? I'd love to see it. We've got plenty of reviews of 12 ft lbs rifles as well as rifles costing a lot less than the Delta Wolf which you might be interested in. As for the Delta Wolf - the review rifle sent to me was an FAC rifle - so not much I could do about that. I did try to include some info on the 12 ft lbs version as well. And I'm sorry if you didn't like the way I reviewed the most technologically advanced rifle yet to be made. Have you had a chance to shoot one yet? What did you think of it? Rich.

@@philnoel5839 Hi Phil. Si is a phenomenal shot. I'd class myself as average at best. And, I believe, he is army trained. I'm certainly not. And the SFS tuned Imp mk 2 is a great rifle. But I still don't really see your point in comparing an FAC Delta Wolf with a 12 ft. lbs. springer. I know that if I tried shooting a target at 60 metres with a sub 12 ft lbs springer on a windy day I would not have been able to achieve a sub one inch 10-shot group. And yet I could with the FAC Delta Wolf. That's hardy a surprise to me, or I should think anyone else, and not something I set out to try and prove. If you've shot the Delta Wolf and don't agree with my opinion of it, that is of course absolutely fine. However, I think it is misleading to say that anyone with a sub 12 ft. lbs. rifle could match an FAC Delta Wolf, and most other top brand FAC rifles. Si isn't anyone. Very few people have his ability with a rifle. Wouldn't it be great to set him up with a Delta Wolf and see what he could do with it?
@philnoel58394 жыл бұрын
@@airgunextra Buddy, I was not really making a comparison between sub 12 and fac. The point i was trying to make was, The Delta wolf may be a great rifle. Akin to the FX range. All the adjustments is a dream. What i am trying to get across is they are not worth the cost for UK sub 12 FT-LB users. Because they have to pay the same amount and only get half the rifle. That is why i said that rifles at less than half their price, Are just as capable. It's like paying for a Rolls Royce , And getting it with a mini engine . If all that makes sense. PS Si could shoot the gonads of a gnat at 50 yds lol.
@airgunextra4 жыл бұрын
@@philnoel5839 No problem. I guess some people like Rollers! You're right that cheaper rifles perform as well, or very close at 12 ft. lbs. but for some people, those with deep pockets I suppose, there's more to owning a rifle than its ability to shoot accurately. I put one on my list for santa but evidently I wasn't a good enough boy :(
