@scoobyej20 it's automatic. as long as bt is on on your phone... it will connect when you start your car. it works really well. so if you were listening to music on your phone. then go in your car, the music will play through stereo

I just bought this and like the features it comes with, but I actually preferred the ipod cord in the back of the system like on my older cda-9886. that way I can keep it plugged in and hidden in my center console.

I bought my HD137BT yesterday and having the same annoying problem too, so I pull the unit again and secure all the cables back away from the unit. DONE. No more noise. Some times a single cable touch or close to the unit frame produce that. Try and let me know.

I just bought one & it's pretty cool so far!! Other than the BT not pairing instantly it's fine...

i fixed it if you change the settings in pandora to high quality it corrects the issue... thanks for your help!!! now i keep getting something that says "no pandora" on the screen even though eveerything is paired.... its always something lol

Better off with the IVE-530BT imo assuming you can fit a double din. Touch screen makes song searches such easier, plus DVD playback.

Ok so first of all great video! We needed this. Second, I hate to be another person w/ a question, but can you change the illumination colors on this deck (i.e. the back light from blue to say green)?

Great video. i just bought this head unit yesterday and i am having an annoying problem. i paired bt pandora with no problems, however, when it plays a song from pandora it only plays the first minute or so of the song before cutting off and skipping to the next song. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I'm encountering problems with my ipod classic. On the receiver it seems to be on pause and it's not playing. I press play on the receiver and or the ipod and its not playing anymore. Do you have any suggestions?

Hey I just bought the hd137bt and I have the alpine cda 9886 installed already and both radio harness look the same do you think i can just use it on the 137bt and not have to rewire the radio harness with the car harness?

I don't have any aac files so i don't know. You CAN listen to anything though from your phone to this deck...if it outputs audio on your phone...once connected to bt,t will pay through your speakers. So if you are playing aac files on your phone, you will hear it through the deck and will also be able to fast forward / rewind / pause. All the while also able to place and receive calls. I will make another video showing the calling capabilities.

Nice stereo!!! alpine needs to stop this blue light business,green lights and alpines are like a stick in a hole, like cat and mouse,they just go together and have been for eons,when you drive pass a KFC you immediately think chicken, green is what i think about when i hear alpine,what can i say, its classic!!

i had a cda-7842 (made in 97) until recently it died (lightning). had green, Amber, and blackout modes. the lcd backlight was burned out though. it was a good unit anyways

Probably the shitiest Alpine stereo ever made ...really really really bad sq I even emailed Alpine to highlight this and they didn't want to know...the 178 is a great head unit but the 137 is propa shit and thats coming from an Alpine lover ; ((
