Nice video! Another great reminder that I really need to work on my outside edges. I'm good going backwards in general (still can't crossover in hockey) and can keep pace with most people with just C-cuts, but being able to really dig in on my outside edges would be huge in being able to keep up with people who can move well laterally. Thankfully, in my lower level hockey, just being able to go decently fast backwards is usually enough to play decent defense.

Super! But, skating backwards in a 'straight' line is very possible, you even do it 1 of the ways in the video

Every time I try 3:46, I just end up spinning.

This means your weight is too far over the heel and you dont push the stop but try to skate a turn into it
