They are a little larger than my GP-Tech or GP-Pro gloves. I usually wear XXL A-Stars gloves, but in the new ones I got XL, or even L. Nice. 😊👍

Gp pro r2 is a epic glove. Imo it looks better than r3, i got tiny hands so i wear M in gp pro r2, small in other gloves

Looks like I might have to set my less then a year old R2's aside and pick up these R3's. It seems that the areas improved were the areas where I felt the glove fit to tight, or didn't give me enough motion. (This was even after returning an initial pair to bump up a size). As always, I will be excited when we get closer to the season to pick these up. And since there is no return fee to exchange along with great customer service, I like always will be purchasing from STG.

I am going to have to grab a pair of these. I have the R2 gloves and the GP Pro glove right before R2. The one before the R2 fits better and gives better range of motion. I do like my R2's just alot of break in to make it flex like I want. Looks like the R3 will fit and feel better then both of the last 2 gp pro gloves.

I own a set of Alpinestars SP Air gloves in XL. I find they are a little too small for me. What size would you suggest in the GP R3? Thank you and all your videos are super informative.

Hey brian! In comparison with the RFX1 what do you suggest ?
@sportbiketrackgear5 жыл бұрын
IMO they are both solid options. Without having ridden in them yet I have to say I really like this glove. My expectations are these are going to be great on the bike and will require just a touch more time before they feel as dialed as the RFX1 do after having used them a bit. If the additional cost for the R3's is not an issue I would go with them. I am looking forward to riding in these gloves this spring and will try to do an update video once that happens. - Van

We find this version to run one size larger than that one. If your old gloves were a little tight go with the same size. If they were perfect then order one size smaller than the old ones. - Van

Hi Brian, which track oriented gloves would you suggest for best feel/ comfort (irrespective of protection)? I currently ride in the Old GP Pro which are so far my favourite (Size XL), as well as a size (L) pair of the Phantom II (Palm is nice but the they do feel cumbersome compared to the GP PRO) and have acquired a pair of Super-techs (XL) which have amazing lever feel (felt like I wasn't wearing gloves) but are far too tight for my fingers unfortunately. I am leaning towards these as a next purchase as they seem to incorporate features I really liked in the Super-tech or maybe the new RS Taichi, but ultimately I want the least cumbersome/ most lever feel.

If you like your old GP Pros you will love the R3's! I have a pair and enjoyed riding in them. Max had 2 pair (started in a medium and grew so much last season he needed a large) and really liked them. They also held up well while crashing. Best glove Alpinestars has made yet IMO. - Van

Do you find that you have a bit of extra room in the middle of the palm area? Does the material bunch up a bit in the palm?

Between these and the RS Taichi GP Evo gloves that scored really well in your gauntlet shootout, which ones would you go for, and why?
@sportbiketrackgear4 жыл бұрын
End of the day they are both excellent gloves IMO and you can't really go wrong with either one. My Son Max rides in the R3 Gloves with lots of laps and some crashes, they have performed very well. The biggest difference between them would be the EVO Gloves have 2 palm sliders rather than one on the R3. - Van

Hi Brian, I’m going to replace my Gp Pro R1 gloves in size M which I never got to break in properly, they are just to tight. I was leaning to the Racer High Speed gloves which I know you like, but how are they against these GP Pro R3 gloves? Also, should I stay with size M assuming both these gloves are bigger than my set of old Gp Pro R1?
@sportbiketrackgear4 жыл бұрын
I would stick with a medium in both gloves you noted. I like both of the gloves you mentioned. Comparing them head to head I would say the Racer have a little more feel while the Alpinestars are more robust while still offering excellent feel. Hope that helps. - Van

Comparing these to the previous version of the Alpinestars GP Pro R2 Gloves they run larger. In the R2 the XX-Large is too tight for me to ride in. XX-Large in the new R3 fits me very well, I would say this gloves runs true to size as compared to most gloves on the market in this category. If you were a Large in the previous version of this glove you should go with a Medium in the R3. Hope this helps, Van
