The KR-3 provides a bit more protection with its added rib protection, but it's also a bit heavier and bulkier than the KR-1. Both provide plenty of protection for street riding, so you just have to decide whether you want the extra protection at the expense of added bulk. -DrewZilla

No, it does not have the snaps to connect with a jacket. That is why the shoulder straps are included to help hold it in place. However, there are a few other options in Astars' line with the snaps. Hope that helps. - Pat

@@RevZilla Just wondering why you would recommend the KR-1 for the track over the KR-3. At the start of the video you mention the KR-3 is the new flagship Nucleon back protector. I'm just curious as i'm struggling to decide which one to get also
