It's more like there's a severe targeting issue with Halo 2 entities. Even up close the Halo one entities want to target things in a different direction. The rocket floods think he's somewhere he isn't.

Tbf they're really weak to headshot weapons. Running a Covenant carbine through the Brute missions makes it much easier. Unlike Halo 3 or the Elite sections you don't need a plasma pistol just to combat them giving the free hand to the Brute shot. In the latter four missions of halo 2 both are quite plentiful.

This feels like the halo 1 characters have been intentionally nerfed tbh. They’re doing stuff they’d never actually do in game, like the hunters turning around mid melee attack so that their melees always miss. Or the gold sword elite taking forever to turn around when the brute was hitting it in the back when in game it would turn around basically instantly. Edit: also the brute killing flood in 2-3 hits when melee does almost nothing to flood combat forms in halo 1, what’s going on there? Then there’s the rocket launchers and fuel rod cannons always missing when the brute is just standing still, what’s going on bro?
