@@Alteori if it gave him strength to fight it off and breathe better, maybe. cause I remember he went through A LOT in the 3rd movie and collapsed in the next film. not eating or drinking enough, then the fire and sharp teeth, and the smoke rises, and explains why the three horns weren't affected when they were running away. Then grandpa is so much more grateful to his grandson in later films it seems like. Like more emotional. like in 5 and 6

Probably one of the few Land Before Time movies where both of the song numbers actually are pretty catchy and I don’t mind them. Not to mention it was nice to see them vary the sharpteeth up after this point by adding raptors. Also credit to the writers for giving Daddy Tops more character and stuff to do. Even Hyp’s dad was cool for the small amount of screen time he had.

To be fair to the other dinosaurs, just because Mr. Three-Horn is talking sense doesn't mean his attitude is helping the situation. The tighter the grip, the more sand is going to escape your hands. Being calm but firm is less likely to make people rebel than someone being "tough". He's talking sense, no question, but still.

6:40 - IIRC, it's been suggested (though not outright stated because Kid's Movie,) that Cera's mother actually died in the Great Earthshake in the first movie, and that the trauma of losing his beloved wife (along with other preexisting things like his "tough love" childhood mentioned in this film,) is a large part of why Mr. Three-horn sometimes goes a bit overboard in trying to protect his remaining daughters. (It's also why he ends up together with that other lady triceratops who ends up as Cera's stepmom.) I get the distinct impression those four trikes were just supposed to be another family of three-horns, but I admit I was also thrown off since we rarely _see_ Three-horns that aren't Cera or her dad in the films.

So here’s a little fact: So the maximum speed for an apatosaurus is 20 km/h and a forest fires/wildfires can travel up to 6 mph. Now 20 km/h in mph is 12.427 mph so maybe (though I could be wrong) littlefoot’s grandparents could get ahead of the forest fire in the movie if their arthritis hasn’t kicked in yet. Fun fact, I was extremely shy and growing up and since the Land before Time characters where my imaginary friends, Cera, who didn't like me at first, became my best friend and so I wanted to be brave like her. So in a weird way the character rubbed off on me so I could be bolder and braver.
