@@theforbiddenangel92 George would have wrecked a little bit here and there, and then enshrined it in a giant block of ice, to make it permanently inaccessible, out of touch, irrelevant. Exactly what the fans want, except dumber, more cardboard people, and teddy bears, lots and lots of teddy bears. He would have said: "The Force is a living, growing, evolving thing!" - and then immediately kill it dead forever. If he could've even realistically finished, that is. But no one would've been hating on it 5 years later, it would've been just too smooth and forgettable. Now look at all this passionate engagement! So shrewd!

George may indeed have done a fine job... Taking out all the nasty human-like believable characters, and replaced them with a lot of cartoony popcorn camp. I'm sure he would have been super excited about picking another kid of the street, and just absolutely ruin his life forever for the sake of a dumb movie, oh yeah, so much fun. But actually, no. I think he'd have been too pissed off to finish anything. Besides, George isn't immortal you know. Disney was gonna get Star Wars sooner or later. This way, you get to see more of the story, before you die... Maybe you even make it to the end of the story!

Would have preferred they left George’s intended ending in ROTJ as the end. He only wrote “Sequel Trilogy Treatments” to get more money in the sale. He got rid of his planned Sequel Trilogy in 1980 when he realized he wanted to end Star Wars early because of his divorce. Do he took the ending he planned for his original plan, aka the defeat of Palpatine, to ROTJ.

Not exactly true, Lucas started work on the Sequel trilogy around 2009/2010 with Hamill, Ford & Fisher all signed up in 2011 before the Disney buy out in 2012. What Lucas realised is the 10 year plus timescale of making the movies would eat into his planned retirement so he then put plans in place for it to continue but with him in an advisor/consultant role, firstly by appointing “trusted” friend & producer Kathleen Kennedy as Head of Lucasfilm then agreeing to the sale to Disney after reassurances from Bob Iger. Once the sale was done and KK/Disney threw out his ideas, Lucas walked away, annoyed and heartbroken that his treatment wasn’t going to be used. He’s only returned recently to assist Favreau & Filoni with the TV shows as he knows they have a better vision of what makes Star Wars.

It's hilarious that the same people who hated the prequels for 20 years think they would have loved Lucas' version of the sequels. If you cant even admit midichlorians are canon because he would have gotten more into them and also no practical effects and models. All CGI and shot 99 percent in front of a blue screen! At least with the Disney version more fans appreciate Lucas again.

People give George so much hate over the Prequels because he didn't repeat himself. The Prequels were different than the original trilogy, they told a different story. Those stories are amazing and have since aged well. And you are right you appreciate George a lot more after what Disney did.

I believe that George Lucas’s version for the Star Wars sequel trilogy would’ve been better. I’m really impressed with George Lucas’s ideas with the sequel trilogy. I like that George Lucas was inspired from the aftermath of the Iraq war to explain that the galaxy was in complete lawlessness and chaos after the fall of the Galactic Empire. The Empire joins a group of gangsters across the galaxy to rally against the Rebel Alliance would’ve been so much better. Having Darth Maul as the villain would’ve been better and having his apprentice Darth Talon as the villain would’ve been good too. Leia struggling to rebuild the Republic would’ve been so much better. Luke SkyWalker going into exile and having his confidence restored by training with another student would’ve been so much better. Having Luke rebuild the Jedi Order and Leia and Han’s son Skyler being seduced by the dark side by Darth Talon would've been better. Everything about the Star Wars sequel trilogy under the direction of George Lucas would’ve been better. That story which George Lucas created was good.

Disney said "We're torching the EU!" to hurt peoples feelings and try to prepare them for the oncoming barrage of new learning. What it really means is: "Legends is probably canon, unless contradicted by official canon." George wanted 12 movies, 3 trilogies, 3 single hole patches (a la Rogue One). I prefer Disney's version of the narrative, but I would have liked George's precision touch, if he could've been somehow forced to adhere to the insane nonsense aspect. I highly doubt it.

The greatest loss is that we didn't get Kira/Rey and Sam/Finn as Han an Leia's kids. And there never was a 4th trilogy planned. Lucas said in the '80s in a "Rolling Stone" interview that he intended to make episodes 4-6, then a Wookiee movie, then episodes 1-3, then a droids movie, then episodes 7-9, and then a bounty hunters movie.

While George's Sequels would have undoubtly had their issues, I still insist they would have been better over what Disney shat out. It seemed George for one thing actually wanted to progress the story, universe and characters foward. As opposed to Disney's movies, which essentially reset everything right back to square one and played out as a worse and far more boring rehash of the OT again. He wanted to show the heroes rebuilding back the Republic, the last remains of the Empire would basically be the underdog Rebels this time around and Luke would be hard at work restoring the Jedi Knights. I also don't think George would have thrown his legacy characters under the bus just to prop up the newer and inferior carbon copies.

He was a Clone. Considering that the prequels set up the cloning process, and thus "The Clone Wars", Palpatine cloning himself made sense. Also, the novels and comics did it before "The Rise Of Skywalker" did.

I don't think this trilogy gave any of the popular characters a happy ending. If anything, it went out of it's way to give them the total opposite. Han and Leia just broke up and Han became a deadbeat dad and reverted right back to his old ways, as if his entire character development in the OT meant nothing, and then just ends up getting murdered by his worthless emo son. Luke just gave up on everything from the Force, Jedi, his friends, and family, and chose to hide out on some island so he could wait to die, due to decisons made that go completely against his character. Leia dies for literally no reason at all. She just suddenly feels weak, lays down on a table, calls out to her son through the Force and then just dies. This trilogy just ended up making everything these characters did in the first trilogy totally pointless and it also completely destroys the overall legacy of Anakin Skywalker. All so basically Rey could be retconned as the true hero of the Saga.

George's would've been better. However, neither Luke nor Leia are the chose one, Anakin is the chosen one and he is the one that defeated the Emperor. He was literally born to the force, it shouldn't even be up for debate. Also, Darth Maul isn't a human so he shouldn't be that old. He's like the same age as Obi-Wan. Alec Guiness was 62. So if Maul is like 60-something in human years, we could just say Zabraks age a little slower, and still have Ray Park doing phenomenal dueling.
