Excellent, congrats man. With this video, you only need to know basic electronics to understand how to use Altium. Keep up the good work. Greetings from Dominican Republic.

Hi, I'm just starting to learn Altium designer, and your video is the best among KZbin. It's short, clear and contains most things I need to start with. Good work!

After painful years with eagle, altium is a godsend...

What is wrong with eagle? How card is it to migrate from Eagle to this software and finally, what can this software do that Eagle cannot?
@iSolarSunrise10 жыл бұрын
Well, the first thing I enjoyed the most with Altium was the Interactive Routing; it saves a lot of time routing and it just simply works. Other functionality such as advanced grid setups, gerber file generator + editor, etc. makes Altium a more efficient tool. Sure you can make a board using Eagle but it is a huge bugger once you have 300+ components and require a more advanced layout such as impedance matching etc.

Superb tutorial, just what I need. Also, I'd pay a 1000 usd per license if Altium made a linux version of their software.

@blackwolfsquadron Go to Design->Simulate->Mixed Sim there you can choose what type of simulation you want, fromtransient to AC and transfer function scoping !!

@San000013 You can select a group of components on the schematic or pcb and align them, space them, or move them to your content.

I have yet to see anything about a price. My suspect it's way out of the line for an individual.

Not really, for students just 150€ and its not much more for individual I think like 1000€

Thanks a lot for this helpful video. For those having trouble finding the LM555CM timer IC, go to the link below -the part is available in the national semiconductor library vault. simply register in the link and you'll get an email with a link to download the vault. After downloading please include the library by going to the 'Design' tab and 'Add/Remove library' option. Hope this helps. designcontent.live.altium.com/#UnifiedComponentDetail/National_Semiconductor_Analog
