He is. He’s a True Vampire like Alucard but pertaining the powers of the Dark Continent (Africa). He’s merely a tool just like Alucard is for Hellsing, but working for the Judas of the Round Table. But since he’s overpowered with the power of Sett, he’ll most likely destroy the world since his master is almost dead and captured. But yeah, he’s a reference to Nosferatu.

Each volume of the manga took 1 year to produce, each Anime episode took 1-2 weeks to air. You can understand how little there was to the manga in 2001, when the anime started.

@lol32141 Well, the manga technically came out first which spawned the Anime, but since the Anime was producing episodes much faster than the manga, they dropped the project when it was trying to do something else with the show. And then, the OVA movies came up, aka, long wait in production (6-12 to sometimes 18 months wait time between Episodes' production).
