I have a feeling that Abraham Van Helsing gave the entire legacy to his daughter Integra because even though his brother was younger he sensed that the brother was tainted with evil intentions. So once he named Integra the heir of both the family and organization, it triggered the events that lead to the resurrection of Alucard and the death of Integra's uncle.

Fassbender would make a good Alucard just because he's a really good actor with range. I kinda think that the guy who later Dean Winchester in Supernatural might be a cool choice. Or the guy who plays Lucifer on Lucifer. Those characters kinda remind me of Alucard, a mix of a smart ass and a badass.

You know, with Alucard's complete lack of respect for Integra's Uncle, he would most likely have just killed him if Integra was killed. Then he'd be free to wreak havoc on the world again with the Hellsing lineage dead. Good thing the Uncle was a terrible shot.

Alucard wouldn't do that due to respect for Hellsing family and him submitting to them by his own will, he would not let that happen, he chose to serve Hellsing after being offered and given a new goal, as also being presented with what real humans are and how those can beat any monster including even him, hence why he would rather die then see an heir of the one who defeated him die, especially if it is someone as brave as his original Master, he tested Integra and had to see what she is, confirming her not only as heir of Hellsing, but someone who has the same spirit. Which is why I think he would've continued his job anyway, but if Hellsing would end, he would be searching for a new Master not of the blood of Hellsing, but of a same soul.
