Hey! I painted the rims with primer silver color turned out amazing when i painted with gloss black the color didnt stick it turned out weird and it looked matt black and when i would touch it with finger the coulor would rub off anyone know why it was after 2 day the color rubbed off with finger

Noah Buchan I used about 2-3 cans of primer 3-4 cans of paint and 1-2 cans of clear coat. Completely depends on your wheel size and how much surface area you will be covering.

Wats the name of that tool you used to tighten up the tire? What size and does it fit a 2011 335i coupe?

It's a torque wrench. It's adjustable and it will click (some beep) when the nuts are tightened to spec. It's just a fancy ratchet and yes, it will fit your car because, like any other ratchet, you can put any socket on it provided the drive size is the same. (3/8", 1/2"drive) unless you're not in the US. Idk what drive sizes there are in metric...( never thought about that one detail) but they have torque wrenches in Newton Meters As well as inch pounds and foot pounds. (My wife watched me type that and asked what language it was...lol)

I am not too familiar with a mid west winter but I have only expereinced chipping when I get new tires put on. Besdies that it holds really well to the wheel, just ensure proper sanding

You didn’t take the wheel weight off. When you balance the wheel again there will be a unpainted spot

RSH21 you are correct however we only painted the back of the wheels so that at a glance the back matched. Removing these weights after painting doesn’t leave enough unpainted area to really worry. We just got new tires not too long ago and didn’t even notice where the old weights were

@@EastCoastGarage just because you didn't notice doesn't mean its not there if your going to paint a rim why would you not paint the whole thing if you were going to cut corners you should have left out the sticky notes on the tires the paint will stick to that rubber for like 45 seconds
