Different positions, I know, but Rico did exactly what Phillips doesn’t. Constantly found space to receive the pass, giving himself multiple options when he gets it. Terrific performance.

I agree. Rodri is Rodri and is probably the best in his position in Europe at present. But, he can't play every game and at the moment Pep can't rotate him because there is no obvious replacement. I can see Gvardiol as that eventual b replacement so I think it is worth trying him out. He's obviously a great defender but he also likes moving forward so is worth the trial in my view.

@@hiddysonday1 Philips is a good replacement, but i think he is lacking confidence at the moment. He isn't playing to his full potential. Rico is an excellent pivot but he is too young, we might need to partner Philips with rico in cdm; kova & nunes are more like a kevin type player in my opinion

Also very important, agreed. But Alvarez walked home with 1 goal and 1 assist in 11 minutes, with 0.04 XG and 0.02 XA. It's ridiculous, pure flair. He doesn't even look to goal before shooting, barely lifts his head before playing the ball through to the space in front of Doku.

Juli es muy introvertido callado en la selección misma no se le conoce la voz, el habla con su juego en la cancha...por lo que veo en el City lo toman como en chico lo comparan con Rico ..es campeón del mundo Halang es goleador bárbaro pero en instancia donde hay que marcar desde octavos o cuartos de final empieza a desaparecer...ahí donde se ve la calidad de jugador contra el Real Madrid no hizo ningún gol a Juli la puso un partido faltando 5 minutos y el Noruego jugó 180 minutos y no marcó y en la final ausente Pep ..no lo puso a Juli xrque si hacía un gol quedaba expuesto..tenes razón Juli tiene que cambiar de representante a salir del City...creo que sus compañeros de selección se lo van a decir

Gvardiol reminds me of a reverse Ruben who can skip into midfield. If it wasn't for the obvious strong foot, they would look the same until gvardiol starts running and feeding. They will be the elite combo, mark my words.

Haaland must keep playing, even if he doesn't score he's still a very good complement to Julian and Phil, and now we also have Doku who's been impressive since he came on, all 4 of them should be starters.

I think that Haaland is getting accustomed to the new front players that feed him the ball. Each player's touch and arc are different. It will come that Haaland will be used to every player's pass approach.

Without KDB and Gundo he doesn't get many through passes, and too often he gets them from difficult angles forcing him out of his stride.

@@Airyed Walker and Dias were class, akanji was doing his best at the stones role even though it isn’t his best position and did okay and haaland played decent but he does need to put a few chances away and I’m sure he’ll do that against arsenal
