To me, this is the quintessential Metal Gear Solid song, and the best track out of all of the Metal Gear Solid games. It masterfully conveys this sense of sheer earnestness, a feeling that you must hurry, stop the enemy, and save the world at all costs before it's too late. Awe-inspiring.....just awe-inspiring.

I remember when I was a little kid. The very first time I played it. It was so good because as a kid you kind of were afraid of getting busted and chased around, and while this music played in the background you thought it could not get any better. But then you have that dark sneaky atmosphere and those awesome codec conversations which you just thought was cool because as a kid you did not understand anything.

Metal Gear Solid was, in my frank opinion, the best experience of the entire series. This game has an amazing mesh of amazing characters, both minor and major; a thrilling and intriguing plotline that kept you hooked all the way through; and an incredible atmosphere that pulled you in with the dark themes, moody visuals, some amazing graphics for a PSX game, and the perfect soundtrack. The sequels don't come close. I consider "Metal Gear Solid" to be the finale of the Metal Gear series.

every time i listen to this i imagine myself as Snake running down a dimly lit metallic corridor.. hearing nothing but the sound of my feet beneath me.. staring ahead into the everlasting darkness.. alert.. vigilant.. and yet strangely calm the thrill of stealth i have felt with this game is to date unmatched.. metal gear is a paradox of a game.. it loudly advocates peace by silently making war..

The original Metal Gear Solid game for psx is one of the most legendary games in video game history, the music is epic, the game felt very dark and mature for being just a psx game, even compared to the other mgs games, Metal Gear Solid has to be the greatest psx game ever right there with another legendary game, FF7.
