Heard this song on KDVS 90.3 while driving and it was just one of those perfectly timed moments I like to call "movie soundtrack" moments. The driving speed, the volume level, the time and color of the day, the blur of what's been past on the drive, the head space, the smells, the thoughts and emotions, the vibe the universe was on that very second.. with just me.. and just like that- an ordinary moment with ordinary being. This ..is how memories are made

I didn't know these people until 4 hours ago, and now, fortuitously, I shall go and see them live in Auckland in a few weeks. As a 50-year old, it warms the cockles to see younger folk do baggier clothes and jangly guitars so well.

It’s insane. My best friend introduced me to just this song 1 and a half years ago. I loved it but I forgot about it. Nearly a year later, they were having a concert in my city and I decided to go for the first concert of my life to their band, which kind of made me listen to all 3 of their albums. And wow. This is one of the best modern bands I have heard. I hope you have a similar experience

@@ChuckieMcHaggis It's wild to see the nineties coming back so strongly. As a milennial it's funny to see everyone I know watching Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Star Trek:DS9, and singing along to They Might Be Giants, as if we weren't all babies when this stuff was actually in the public consciousness. It's good to know the generation we were born into.

My husband and I walked down the aisle to this song. As soon as we heard its opening line “you expressed explicitly your contempt for matrimony” we just knew. We were always both so adamantly opposed to marriage when we were in our 20s. Flush with the arrogance and certainty of youth. The coy, tongue in cheek tone of the song struck a cord.

This song in particular really has her Cape Breton accent showing. I've heard these guys' music before but honestly didn't know much about their background. Turns out the singer is the daughter of one of the Rankin Family members. They were HUGE back in the 90s. And the chorus maaarry me aaaarchie is just Rankin Family af. edit: Molly is John Morris Rankin's (RIP) daughter. TIL.

I haven’t heard this song in years, and now I’m crying as my mind ties it to the last two. We never listened to this song together, but hearing this now I can only think of her. I broke up with her months ago, and did so because I knew it was best for me and believed it was best for her. I still believe this, and yet the pain seems no less for being the one who chose to leave. Although I know she cannot see it now, I believe a happiness awaits her that is far greater than what I could give. Such a gentle soul deserves no less, and I pray she finds it soon. Love you still, Samara.

The song is amazing. It gives me very pleasant feelings. Feeling of hope. This is the last song my grandmother listened to in her life. She died a few days later of cancer. And despite the entire content of the song, the song itself is associated with my grandmother. Thank you for this song, for the last memory of my loved one. Thank you, Alvvays!
