I love her so much, as a an elite gymnast and as a person. She’s very eloquent with her words and always has that so very positive aura about her. Aly was so gracious in the way she spoke about it, but it seems like that is a huge weight to put on a stranger immediately upon meeting - especially for somebody who likely deals with ptsd I can only imagine how stressful it must be to know that at any moment when you’re in public some random person can spring that on you and bring back those memories so suddenly. I hope people can understand that is a lot for one person to handle and instead deal with these challenges in the appropriate channels and with drs/therapists who are qualified and fully equipped to help them through it.

Thanks so much for speaking on PTSD, Aly!! Specifically PTSD and trauma. We know that trauma can lead to post-traumatic stress disorder, but not everyone that's experienced trauma develops PTSD. The 'POST-traumatic' part is the one people forget, and usually where all the painful but necessary healing happens....for months, years at a time - everyone is different like she says! Being widely known means she's likely triggered constantly. So glad she's got a good therapist.
