Aly Raisman is the US's most underrated gymnasts. She has 6 Olympic medals (7 if they didn't have tie breakers). Only 1 less than what Simone Biles and Shannon Miller currently have.
@anthonylebrun19772 ай бұрын
That's right, the London 2012 All Around was the worst thing I ever watched in my life & hate the judges still to this day.
@extraicegirl2 ай бұрын
@@anthonylebrun1977 dropping the lowest score as a tie breaker isn't an AA score. It was ridiculous. While we're fighting for Jordan's bronze, Simone's gold...let's go after a bronze for Aly too.
@anthonylebrun19772 ай бұрын

This was a solid interview between Kathy Kay, a quality reporter and a gymnastics phenom, Aly Raisman, 6 x medallist over 2 olympics. Substance, depth and emotion intertwine in compelling dialogue of the athletic journey of this exceptional woman and life after the Olympics. Thanks for sharing.

Aly was so gracious in the way she spoke about it, but it seems like that is a huge weight to put on a stranger immediately upon meeting - especially for somebody who likely deals with ptsd I can only imagine how stressful it must be to know that at any moment when you’re in public some random person can spring that on you and bring back those memories so suddenly. I hope people can understand that is a lot for one person to handle and instead deal with these challenges in the appropriate channels and with drs/therapists who are qualified and fully equipped to help them through it.

Thanks so much for speaking on PTSD, Aly!! Specifically PTSD and trauma. We know that trauma can lead to post-traumatic stress disorder, but not everyone that's experienced trauma develops PTSD. The 'POST-traumatic' part is the one people forget, and usually where all the painful but necessary healing happens....for months, years at a time - everyone is different like she says! Being widely known means she's likely triggered constantly. So glad she's got a good therapist.
