Lots of great hints, but just a note, on multiple flights this year on delta, JetBlue, American, Allegiant and Southwest. The current gate speech is: You are allowed only one carry on and one personal item. They then continue: Additional items like neck pillows, Fanny packs, shoulder bags all count as an extra item and must be placed into one of your other bags or something must be checked.

I couldn’t believe what a huge difference they made the first time I used noise canceling headphones! You are right, the noise of the airplane itself is fatiguing plus I sleep so much better with them. Now I won’t travel without them.

I'd add: - airplane window organizer - tray table cover (both on amazon) - nice slippers and comfy socks for looong flights in coach (feels like first class if you bring your own peanuts) - nail clippers... (i ALWAYS forget these... bandaids, etc) Hope you find these helpful - I fly on Friday - ciao.

I've had a Hero Clip for years, and you're absolutely right, it's a must have for travel! Honestly, the place I end up using it the most is in airport restrooms, as you don't always have a functioning hook on the back of the stall door.
@kmason524111 ай бұрын
Except in some countries they will take these carabiner style items away from you at the security check-in. "They can be used as a knuckle duster weapon" Air France security informed me before taking it. I used one for attaching my watch and wedding ring etc through security so everything was easily found and together. As well as hanging, attaching, securing etc etc.

Don’t be that guy, that annoys the person in front of you, when using those hanging foot rest. Every time you move your feet, you will move the seat, that your foot rest, is hanging from. Some airlines are starting to stop passengers from using them. Those tray table arms are not designed to hold more weight than the food and tray they serve.

I have some of the Heroclips. I use it for hanging a small pouch on the seatback when on a plane to hold my phones, earbuds, snacks, etc. Holds all I need in the air other than my tablet. I also keep several on my luggage to use as needed. I use some of those same plastic toiletry pouches you talked about at 2:40 ish. Interesting thing I found is that some kinds of shampoo (dandruff shampoo in my experience) degrade the plastic plug and it breaks off in the hole.

This was a fabulous video, thank you! Ziploc bags, something I always think about once I'm at my destination. I am definitely bringing some on my next trip. One of the perks of being short 5'1", when I upgrade to premium seats, I can stretch out my legs fully, and the bottom of my feet touch the chair in front of me haha. I do like the hammock though.

I roll and pack my smaller clothing items in them…..underwear, socks, tanks/t’s, swimsuits as well as lotions etc. I like that they keep everything separate and if security wants to look inside the suitcase my clothes aren’t on display! @BrokenCurtain6 ай бұрын
I'd add some bongo ties or string/paracord to the list. Cordage, in particular, is quite underrated. Especially if you know how to tie some knots. A constrictor knot is easy to tie and great for organizing cables. The bowline gives you a stable loop that won't change size. The alpine butterfly knot lets you tie a loop into a rope that's under tension. Another thing I always have in my wallet is some gorilla tape wrapped around an old credit card. For cutting the above, you'll need one of those Victorinox Swiss Cards or some other multitool with scissors, just make sure it's TSA compatible.

@annaBanana - can you explain a little more how the hammock is uncomfortable? I was super excited to see them in this video. I’m only 5 feet tall, so sitting in an airline seat for any length of time gets uncomfortable. Stashers, and other brands, are silicone reuseable containers like ziplocks only you can use them over and over and over. Easy to clean, every bit as versatile as a ziplock, but better for our earth.
