Seeing the positive changes in you ever since you started your channel, helps me get through my own journey of therapy, self discovery and improving my health. I miss being fat. I lost 45 kg in about a year back in 2017 and I definitely don’t miss my body. I love being fit and exercising, taking care of my body, looking at muscles moving in the mirror when I get dressed/undressed, I love pushing myself with workouts. But I miss the mindset I had before losing weight. Food and exercise wasn’t on my mind, it just didn’t exist. These days it’s always on my mind. What I eat, when I eat, when I exercise and what I’ll do. I still buy clothes about 2 sizes too big. And somehow I feel fatter now than I did before losing weight because these days food and exercise is on my mind all the time. So when meals/workouts don’t go the way I hoped, I instantly feel fat. And I’m terrified to gain back them kgs. It’s a struggle. I know it highly unhealthy, all of what I mentioned. But I’m managing. I hope I haven’t triggered anyone by my words. Keep up the great work. Much love. x

I feel exactly the same way about food and letting yourself eat “unhealthy” foods in moderation. It’s hard because my brain is very all or nothing which has led to a life of restriction and binging in the past. It’s hard to convince myself that I can take things slow and lose weight slowly and that is likely to make me more successful in the long run. Thanks for the reminder!!

GIRL I literally did the Forrest Gump thing too a couple years ago when I lost my job and went broke. I would just go on walks for hours and be gone all day until the sun set. I even now refer to it as my Forrest Gump phase 🤣🤣🤣😭 there was something extremely cathartic about just walking around my city and feeling like I was seeing it in a whole different light because I was on foot instead of a car. I felt you should know that you kind of changed my life, Beatrice. I am 36, living in Sweden, working a swanky corporate job, but beyond miserable. I had my first visit with a psychologist this morning to start an evaluation for ADHD. It was never on my radar that I could have it (grew up in a very disciplined household, I would not make it to 36 if I allowed myself to "bounce off the walls"), until I started following your journey. So thanks :)

laundry shoot is a great idea! also, thanks for acknowledging how much of a wild ride your 30ies are. For the non-adhesion issue you're having, I've recently installed the same privacy film on my windows and they've been stuck for months -- what worked is actually smothering the window with soapy water with your hand or a spunge - and then placing the film and using like a credit card (or any stiff plastic) to smooth it out and remove all the bubbles and excess soapy water from underneath the film and wiping it off -- worked like a charm!
@jaspymon

It could also be because it's cold outside in Colorado, so the film may have a harder time gripping the cold windows.

In Canada poppies are synonymous with Remembrance Day, because of the poem "In Flanders Fields" which describes poppies growing on an entire field of soldiers graves, so painting them on your skull would be very apt! everyone wears poppies on our lapels in November because of this, I didnt know that it was a Canadian thing until I heard you question what they are!
@rebeccafindlay9068

We wear them here in the UK too ☺️ I believe it was a French woman who came up with the idea after reading John McCrae’s poem. She presented the idea to the allied nations of France and I believe several still continue to wear the Poppy in November.

I have had that sort of dysphoric moment when I've lost weight and it perplexed me so much the first time it happened because I logically was proud of my progress but emotionally I was scared because I was afraid that the change meant achievement and that meant I might fall from some new height of achievement. I’ve lost 130 lbs and it’s SO weird for my brain to handle. I do feel like you randomly notice the change in your body some days and not others. I also sometimes think I’ve injured myself and realize it’s not a bump, it’s a bone that used to be buried under more fat. 😂 P.S. I’m like you. I LOVE food, so even though I was frustrated that I was losing faster than some internet people, I eventually hit my goal while also enjoying my damn food. 😂

I only lost 40 lbs, but the difference was so dramatic. I couldn’t really “see” the change until my ring started slipping off my finger. I looked at my hands- they were so thin and spindly. Bony. I could see veins. I looks at my feet and they were the same. It’s such a strange feeling to look down at your own body and not be able to process that it’s yours.

I think it is more of a ‘shock’ when you lose weight in a more ‘kind to yourself’ way, it’s a slower more gentle process and one day your like ‘oh damn, i can SEE a difference today’ out if nowhere. I remember once i lost a significant amount too and I saw an old co-worker and she said I looked great and i’d actually forgotten that i’d lost weight. lol Because i didn’t feel deprived. Everything you said about weight loss: that’s why I watch you, Bea! I have the exact same thought. We need to do this OUR way. And for me it’s gonna be slow, steady, consistent and with life’s little pleasures.

The jiggly then firm then jiggly then firm thing during weight loss you mentioned? YES. I've noticed it for years, on me and other people. No clue what it's about but I'm so glad someone else said it! 😁

I definitely play with my stomach squishiness too lol. I was 392 at my heaviest in 2017 and started actively trying to lose weight in 2019 and I lose and gain the same few pounds now since September so now I'm always between 175-183 pounds and so I have LOTS of squishiness after losing more than 200 pounds. I think playing with the squish is weirdly normal lol

As someone who grew up with a potter father, I really enjoyed watching you sculpt your skull! You might ask a local CC if they’d be willing to let you fire it during their next firing. Also, I would love a gym jam video!! Thanks for all you share along the way Bea!

Bea, as a fellow 30-something woman with ADHD, I feel you on the house mess struggle. I'll admit that it's MUCH easier to manage now that I have meds, but I do find myself needing to take a dose on the weekends sometimes to force myself to clean. Otherwise, it's suddenly 2pm on Sunday and I realize that I've spend 4 hours playing games on my phone...

@@zinniaq8047 Social media is what finally prompted me, and TBH, the pandemic and the intake process moving to phone/video calls is what made it accessible; trying to schedule something where I had to take off work and drive somewhere wouldn't have ever happened. Who knows if I'd have my official diagnosis yet or not without that. Worth exploring!

You make my Mondays poppin'. I work from home, I have two kids and a husband who is on the spectrum. Connecting with people in a goofy adult way in my house can be difficult. My oldest son who is 7 is also on the spectrum, so I spend my time having to be very literal because sarcasm is lost on the two of them. My 5 year old is exactly like me, but he's at the age where hanging out with his older brother is more fun. I'm 38 and making friends isn't easy, let alone in a pandemic, so here I am. I've been watching you from the beginning. My mother's name was Beatrice, so there's that too. You are appreciated even if it's from afar. BTW I want your LOP shirt(the site doesn't sell them anymore) and what kind of tea kettle is that?

Clicked so fast! Monday, who? They should rename it Beaday! You inspired me to start my own channel and I finally uploaded my first video today. I'm in a constant state of get it together, too. You're not alone. Hopefully we both can! 🦕 There are two groups who dominate this space - fitness gurus who don't understand and HAES. Then there are people like you and me trying to redefine it. Your food looked delicious and moderation is key! You got this.

I know exactly what you mean in terms of consistent weight loss and feeling like you don’t recognize yourself when progress is happening. It is weird indeed. I definitely been following you and so proud of your persistence ! Keep going! I tend to just spend more time looking in the mirror and getting to know the new/ continuing you and celebrate it! Or wear something super cute and go out ☺️

Hey Bea! Love that you bought the rainbow contact paper! I actually have the same stuff on the windows in my home! I found that using a credit car or something to “ squeegee” helped a lot! I started at the top with the card and pushed the water down until little to no water came down! It was also pretty satisfying getting rid of the air bubbles 🤷🏼‍♀️Maybe this will help ☺️
