your videos are so aesthetically pleasing, it's so cool how cinematic you make these.

this will not surprise you at all (/maybe i've told you this before?), but i ABSOLUTELY rehearse what i'm going to talk about with people. sometimes it's specific, sometimes it's general practice. but yes, i am definitely a semi-improvised performance, and that performance has been practiced so much of the art/movies/music in this vlog is very dear to my heart! and i am just constantly in awe of your creations in these videos 🖤

it’s built into your life and work! i totally see it! ahhh so happy to know this! i knew if anyone got any of the musical / film / books throughout this video, it would be you ❣️

i'm also feeling very vulnerable about my online presence. very much so feeling the still figuring things out vibe. i also rehearse what i'm going to say in my head when it comes to telling a story w/ irl people or for the booktube

✨🫂 we’re all in this together! i’m not sure what the level of vulnerability/honesty is but it has been interesting trying to place a selfhood between it all that feels true to me and omg so glad i’m not the only one that rehearses hot tea 😭😭

happy sunday!! got my coffee and your video and that is something to be grateful for :) im obsessed with your mind. the editing, the love for toilets, the introspectiveness that I can relate to... obsessed!! what software do you use for editing? I have tons of footage from a solo trip i just took and have such a strong desire to turn it into a video diary moment.
@nathansnook2 ай бұрын
ahhh means a lot! and honestly, public toilets just need to be better designed imo !!!! i use vllo!!! it’s a 1 time payment and has produced all the vlogs you see here right on this channel! i like it bc it’s no frills and really easy to use bc i like editing on it for smaller reels/tiktok videos but also longer form content with no real hassle! pls do turn your trip into a diary entry! it makes it so much more special and wonderful 💗

He’s sooooo niche. Lol. I need to watch Perfect Days. Also I would be the devil on your shoulder saying ‘if you love it, you need it in all colours’. 😈 That first toilet was iconic, though I need to see inside 😂

I read The Visiting Privilege by Joy Williams in April. It ended up being a 3.25 star read for me. I see a lot of similarities in my experience to all the things you mentioned. So, so odd.

My two favorite Wenders films are: Wings of Desire (Der Himmel über Berlin) and Paris, Texas. Love the scenes in Wings of Desire when the angels eavesdrop on the mortals internal dialogues. That film is transcendent! (For future reference: Wim Wenders is pronounced Vim Venders) Also, I recently found a film on Netflix where I think I found you as a little boy. Now, don't be angry. The boy is actually Philippino, and I know you're Vietnamese. But, I could care less, frankly. This kid could be you at 11. When I watched it, I thought that is Nathan! The film is Lolo and the Kid. Lastly (I always overwrite my comments. Sorry), your montage sequences are amazing and each one seems better than the one before it! Keep it up!
@nathansnook2 ай бұрын
thank you for the correction on pronunciation! i watched Paris, Texas in a theater years ago on film and it was GORGEOUS. can never get over how magical his films are in a theater. i’ve yet to watch Wings of Desire! perhaps for august! and adding Lolo and the Kid to my watchlist! Filipino cinema is under-appreciated! needs more love! and would love to see a younger vers of myself 👶🏻 no worries! ty for your comment! it’s comments like these that i learn and remind myself that life is so full and there’s always something wonderful to look forward to! like more Wenders!!!

i've watched very little wenders all told, but these two films are fabulous, yes! wings of desire in particular is a movie that really struck me and that i've been talking about revisiting, so perhaps this will be the push i need to do so :)

My independence. Sometimes it gets in the way when people want to help me and I have a hard time accepting it, but it’s also allowed me to travel, attend concerts, etc without feeling weird for not having a person to go with.
