This video is the penultimate of the six concerts that the Notting Hillbillies played at Ronnie Scott's in Birmingham, UK during July of 1998. The DVD it is taken from was published by the great producer of Mark Knopfler related material “PoupyStar”. Video & audio are very good from VHS sources with sharp images and clear audio soundtrack. Good versions of songs tonight and nice interactions between the band members and also between the band & audience. Interesting comments by Mark after ‘Your own sweet way” regarding the sound he gets from his ’57 LP.

Me too. I just discovered Mark last quarter of 2022. Since then i watched his & DS concerts morning, noon and night🎶. I love watching them and they were still young and energetic then. Alchemy, Communique, Making Movies, BIA, OES - all were and still great Thank you for your music Mark. Never late to discover and listen to your music. It is now part of my everyday life.

Going Home is the final theme with sax, drums etc. This is called Wild Theme. Both are from the Local Hero soundtrack.
