These worked perfectly. I only baked them 30 min then used my thermometer to check they were over 190 Degrees inside. Could use a bit more filling. Will definitely make these again. Thanks Tatyana!

Those were great. My introduction to dough making. I was always a bit intimidated by that process thinking that it will be very time consuming but it was rather fast and easy. Very nice recipe indeed!

Looks amazing. I definitely want to make these! Do you have a suggestion for how to make the sweet yeast dough using a sourdough starter? What kind of bread is it?

HI SWEETIE. OMG GOSH, these came out awesome. I had to go make more everything tastes amazing. I used smoked honey on the tops of the second batch. With all molasses in there too. I got my website up it only has a few articles. And I have been found by Google search. I m going to leave my web address for you to view. I don't have my comment section ready yet. i often make my own poppyseed filling by grinding the poppyseeds into a paste and scorching them in boiling milk, etc. like traditional poppyseed filling for bread. Would this work for the filling? I noticed you use whole poppyseeds rather than crushing them.

How do you store them and do they freeze well?

After they've cooled, wrap them individually in plastic wrap and store at room temp. You can freeze these, too!

These were fun to make! I used a blender in leu of a processor but that made the cleanup harder, gonna ask for a processor for Christmas ;P They taste great, love the mild sweetness they have. Will definitely make them again at some point!

cant wait to make this soon for me for the dough can i use almond milk and vegan butter and filling can i use vegan butter I never had apricot & walnut poppy seed rolls before btw am in love with your second cookbook as I reserved it again from my library in Singapore perfect for my after office snacks

I personally don't rinse them but I guess that depends on where you get the seeds. My mom does rinse them

I would first proof at room temperature for about 20 minutes, then cover them loosely with plastic wrap and place into the fridge. Enjoy!

One more thing---you must of baked these poppy seeds rolls for a LONG time as my rolls didn't look as neat as yours but tasted just as good! any tricks you can share with me in how to roll the up so they look nice?🙂

I'm glad you still enjoyed them! :) Make sure to twist the dough enough before rolling it. The twisting part is what makes them so pretty.

No, I didn't wash my poppy seeds. The seeds I used were already processed and cleaned.

These were quite good. I found the recipe called for too much flour. I should have stopped at two and half cups, but since I was a full cup away I tried to incorporate more, so they're a little firm. I was using American all purpose flour, and I'm at sea level in the winter. Don't know if the ingredients or climate had anything to do with it.

I'm glad you enjoyed them! It could just be the way you measured your flour. I use the scoop method and don't compact my flour. You can also weight it for more accuracy. I'm glad they still turned out!
