Well, I must say that I was looking around KZbin for the Concha recipe that I liked the most, and I found your recipe to be the best one for me. Right now my dough is rising in the oven and everything is going really smoothly, now getting ready too make the sugary paste that goes on top. I love chocolate so my pastries will all be chocolate topped. I have also scrolled throgh a lot of your recipes and I am glad that I found you, because I see a lot of things that I want to make. My mother was from Guadalajara, Mexico and my father was German, so I am sure you can imagine how varied my taste buds must be. In any event, I am so happy to have found your channel. Your a great teacher and I want to learn all that I can from you, so cheers and bravo to you, and your wunderbar channel!🎉❤

My instant yeast bottle says refrigerate after opening and I just realized. Had it in pantry whole time. Is it still fine to use?
@momsdish4 жыл бұрын
I typically store mine in a pantry also but mom always said to refrigerate it. How old is yours? Its only good for about 2 months when stored in a pantry.
@springbloosom4 жыл бұрын
@@momsdish oh no def been more than 2 months. Will have to wait buy new one then.
@momsdish4 жыл бұрын
@@springbloosom You can test if yeast is still active by combining 1 teaspoon with 1 cup of warm water (110F) and a tablespoon of sugar. Let it sit for 10 minutes, if it bubbles up, the yeast still good. :)

@@momsdish interesting, we used to get something like this from a bakery and the dough was soft and fluffy so I guess I will use a cinnamon bun recipe instead and see what happens.

I am truly disappointed that the small European business in the USA (Solo) would choose harmful ingredients for the poppy seed filling such as CORN SYRUP and MODIFIED CORN STARCH (which are GMO also called bioengineered in USA!), NATURAL FLAVOR (everyone hides undisclosed bad ingredients behind this generic words), CITRIC ACID (made from black mold NOT from lemons)
@momsdishКүн бұрын
Yeah, that's why it's nice to make homemade poppy seed filling so we can control what goes inside.
