Love this song. Andy Williams has so many beautiful ones. Takes me to another place and time when things were so much simpler.

When I was a kid, say 9 to 14, I loved watching his show and listening to him sing. I loved Rock and Roll music, but somehow his voice just soothed me. Loved his Christmas specials. I thought he was very handsome also!

Andy Williams was such a great performer & had a fabulous career. Loved his voice. My favorite song by him is "Can't Get Used To Losing You". He recorded 43 albums & was nominated for 6 Grammy Awards. He hosted his own television variety show "The Andy Williams Show" from 1962-1971 & had many TV specials. He had lots of great songs such as "Moon River" from "Breakfast At Tiffany's" & recorded many other movie themes.

I ran to the radio when I heard the downbeat of this song came on the radio. I'm 70 now, and I'm still a fan. He is a legend, his music lives on. Enjoy the AW journey.

Another singer from this era who has a similar style is Perry Como.

This song is featured in a classic Audrey Hepburn movie called "Breakfast At Tiffany's", (1961). Andy Williams was a crooner who hosted his own variety show from 1962 to 1971. The Osmond Brothers made their national debut on his show when they were very young.

This song, written by Johnny Mercer, is about the river he grew up next to, here in Savannah, Georgia.

Donny Osmond, who got his start on the Andy Williams Show, does a beautiful rendition of this song, you should listen to it! 🎶

Loved Andy Williams! If you swing back to him at some point, try "Born Free," and Can't Get Used to Leaving You." He had his own weekly TV show and always had other well-known singers of the time come and sing duets with them. He also had a great Christmas show every year. Thanks for the memories Stan!

Now you need to check out Andy Williams and the Osmonds together. They all do a song together on the Donny & Marie Show . The Osmonds sing background harmony with Andy and show different video clips of the Osmonds as they grew up on his show in the early 60’s. The video is titled Memories. Absolutely incredible.

You should listen to Andy and his brothers sing! Beautiful! They called these singers crooners back in the day!

Wonderful comments about Andy Williams' voice which probably had the best tone and timbre in the business.

My favorite male vocalist. He was incredibly nice to me when I had the privilege of singing background with him in March 1986. It was one of the highlights of my life! PS. Andy sang so effortlessly. I used to stand behind the curtains and listen to him before we joined him onstage. He sang the last two notes to "Speak Softly Love" so effortlessly, that I felt the notes floating into the heavens. Check out the recorded version!

Beautiful, though he did change it up from the recorded version - a little faster here, less dreamy and words more clipped.
