LOCAL GHANAIAN SOAP MAKING IN GHANA WHILE EXPLORING A VILLAGE | LIVING IN GHANA AFRICA
There is always something new to discover while living in Ghana Africa.
We explored a small village just outside of Accra Ghana and we were taught the process for Ghanaian soap making. The soap we made is called samina ball, ball nkuruwa or azuma blows. We also explored this village and learn about some of the traditions and culture of this area.

That village used to have a very popular brass band n wonder if it’s still there. We used to hear nice tunes of Koyako brass band on the one station box radios when we were young. Never seen this ancient city before n not surprised only Ama could show it to me. Thank you for making my day. 👍👍😘

Hello Sweet Jasmine! You look very pretty, very fresh and relaxed in that video. It is very nice that you always find the way to present the many diverse and creative aspects of the sustainability that Ghanaian women know very well how to develop with their hard work and strong will. Ghanaian women in those videos manifest with their activities the promise of a better and brighter future for Ghana. Blessings all the way!!

The process she is using is call "COLD PROCESS". It done without the use of fire or placed on fire. I was a soap manufacturer. They should have worn GLOVES that is far safer to the cloth.

This village would fit right in one of the many maroon villages in my country Suriname🇸🇷🇸🇷. It is amazing to see how many traditions and believes are still preserved after many centuries of slavery. Even the surname Abena is a common name in Suriname. It proves that many enslaved must have ancestral roots in these areas of Ghana. Thanks for another great video. Bless😊🙏🏾❤

Jasmine. What you are feeling while in the village is the true sense of calm. In the west as you know, those with access usually can’t wait for the end of the week so they can go to their respective cottages. I think six months is too long. I plan to make the village live a weekly/biweekly affair.

Palm Oil lathers more than the other oils but does not give very hard and solid soaps. Coconut oil gives very hard soap but has little lathering quality.

eeeeish are you using your bear fingers of that type of soap? it will hurt your palms. Cold Process soap are very acidic. The process of saponification or making of soap takes hours that helps to lower the acidity the cold process is done in less than 30 minutes after removing the red color from the palm oil. The HOT PROCESS is safe for human use.
