This video was recorded in February 2023 as part of the 30 year anniversary celebrations of Ballysillan Youth For Christ - the “BlueHouses”.
At the time Grace was in the midst of a battle with cancer, which had returned in May 2022 after initially been diagnosed in 2016. Sadly Grace lost that battle on 9th June 2023.
Here Grace talks about that journey and how she continued to have incredible hope, joy and peace in the midst of it all because of her faith and how much she knew and walked in the love of God. She discovered “God in the detail”
She shares how she came to Ballysillan, why she came to Ballysillan and how she fell in love with Ballysillan and all the people that live there. She talks about how she came to understand good old norn iron “banter”. The BlueHouses became a home for her and she made it a home for others.
Grace was a complete one off.
As many would say “no one like her”.
If you met her you felt seen, heard, valued and above all loved.
In her presence you would have experienced joy, laughter, singing, dancing and a lot of talking (and maybe a sore head!)
She was a force of nature.
She was an inspiration.
She brought hope.
She showed us how to love.
She showed us what it meant to be loved.
She showed us how to find peace in “the storm”.
She showed us how to seek God.
She showed us Jesus.
Her life was one lived “in all of its fullness”
She has left a mark
She has left a legacy
Thank you God for giving us Grace
Thank you that you taught her “stickability”
Now go dance with the angels and enjoy the party in heaven

March 26, 2023, my beautiful wife went to Jesus by way of cancer. My soul is crushed, but I wait on Jesus. One day, we will walk together on streets of gold. No more pain, no more tears no more suffering. Thank you for this wonderful video. ❤
