How do people afford this? Those cars have to cost at least 70k it would seem and they just get ruined over an over again, this seems like a rich mans sport.

I know a lot of ppl that own their own business (mostly trades-people) but they can offset some business expenses by 'sponsoring' their vehicle in events (tax breaks really). And once you have the chassis, it's only really a matter of maintenance. I still aint saying it's cheap though, there are just some...short-cuts :p
